Shemaya - Charlotte de La Fontaine is hosting a Reiki Practice for Certified Reiki Practitioners of any level at the Higher Self Bookstore in Traverse City, THIS Saturday the 22nd of March, 2025 ... from 10am - 12pm.

This is a "no judgment" zone for as many aspects of being as you can imagine.

Here’s a couple of reasons why you may want to get on the schedule (create the time 😉) for a Foot Reflexology session: it helps clear the body's energy meridians and pathways! Yes. Yes. These are invisible pathways but, ancient medicine has been utilizing this reality for centuries. Every living thing vibrates (has a frequency to prove its existence). That's where the 'life force' is. Remember, just because you can't see it (think radio waves, wifi, electricity, etc.) doesn't mean its not there. Right?!?!? So ...

Why is that (clearing vibrational pathways) important? Because it can result in renewed energy and a feeling of (or actual) well-being … releasing tension, relaxing muscles and soothing your nerves. 👣👣👣👣👣 It's the way your body is designed to work. How? Well, because your feet have about 7200 nerve endings in them which are an integral part of your body's Nervous System (communication network) and when those endings get blocked up by lactic and uric acid crystallization well, it's like playing a game of 'telephone'. The messages get all mixed up and the result can be a bit chaotic. Foot Reflexology helps break up that crystallization and restore balance (homeostasis)!

Science, research and experience has proven the significant role between our sense of smell and mood regulation. All we need to do is access pure and potent aromas. Remember how deeply inhaling the scent of your favorite flower enhances your calm and puts a smile on your face? Or the scent of the sea … or, for me, the scent of the forest after a warm rain or freshly brewed coffee. It’s like that. And, it works great to shift (or enhance) your mood for a brief moment.

For super easy access to pure and potent scents just open up one of your favorite bottles of essential oil (I recommend as they are tested to be uncontaminated & unadulterated) and take a whiff. Or, put one drop in your palm, rub your hands together, cup your hands near your nose and deeply inhale … more than once a day. Clearly, you’ll want to pick an oil whose smell puts a smile on your face (all essential oils have emotions that they can help regulate … again, ).

Reiki is more than an incredible quantum physics based healing modality. Truly. When you embrace it at its fullest (even in the beginning stages) Reiki can serve as a guidance system to assist you along your mind/body & spiritual path ... whatever that looks like. It is a versatile tool that grows alongside you.

This class is limited to 4 people and is designed to be an interactive event. Questions and comments are welcome (within reason, right?). There will also be ample time to practice the various techniques taught in the class.
