In May, our box truck broke down and was sent to salvage. The WRC truck provides significant support for our two Thrift Shops including: picking up donations, moving merchandise between the two shops; moving out-of-season merchandise into storage and pulling in-season merchandise back into the shops.

Help us fund our new truck!

Thank you to the dedicated volunteers and staff at Safe Harbor of Grand Traverse for the vital role you play in supporting people experiencing homelessness.

This year, Safe Harbor is piloting year-round shelter for the first time — providing more stability, more dignity, and more lives supported every month of the year.

We’re deeply grateful for Safe Harbor’s unwavering commitment to meeting the basic human needs of our most vulnerable neighbors.

If you look outside today, you will notice a hazy sky due to wildfire smoke. 🔥 To protect your health, the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy has put out an Air Quality Advisory. As of 8:00 a.m., the air quality for Grand Traverse County is marked as Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups, which includes people with heart or lung issues, older adults, kids, and teens. To stay safe, you might want to:

☀️ Choose less strenuous activities so you don’t breathe as hard.
☀️ Shorten the amount of time you are active outdoors.

You can monitor air quality conditions in your area at www.airnow.gov.

After the recent incident in Traverse City, many of you reached out asking if you could help by donating blood — and we are so grateful. Your compassion and willingness to support others truly reflect the heart of our community.

Thanks to regular donors, our blood bank was able to meet the weekend’s needs. But emergencies remind us how vital it is to maintain a strong, steady blood supply.

If you're eligible, we encourage you to donate! With our partner, Versiti Blood Center of Michigan, we regularly hold blood drives at Munson facilities, and many other community organizations across northern Michigan also host events. To find a donation opportunity near you, visit https://donateblood.versiti.org/donor/schedules/zip.

Every donation helps save lives. Thank you for being the difference. ❤️

More than a Family Practice

We’ve been making health care accessible in our community for almost 45 years. We offer affordable primary care and behavioral health/counseling services, complimented by a variety of support services to ensure nobody has barriers to the care they need.

We always welcome new patients. All of Traverse Health Clinic’s services are available for people with or without insurance. We do accept most major insurance plans, Medicaid, McLaren, Meridian, Molina, UnitedHealthcare, and Medicare. We also offer a sliding fee scale based on family income, as well as affordable payment plans for out-of-pocket expenses. It’s our mission to ensure that no one’s health gets left behind. And no one is ever turned away because they can’t pay.

Traverse Health Clinic's primary care is available for all ages -- from infants to seniors and everyone in between. Our behavioral health/counseling services are available for everyone ages 12 and up, no matter where you receive your primary care. You don’t need a referral to make an appointment with one of our licensed, on-site therapists.
