We officially cut the ribbon on our new, state-of-the-art Heart and Vascular Center yesterday at Capital Health Regional Medical Center! This advanced suite represents a major step forward for cardiovascular care in our region and the communities we serve. We couldn’t have done it without the partnership of Governor Phil Murphy, state Senator Shirley Turner, Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson and Assemblyman Anthony Verrelli and the support of many other partners in our community. Staff from Capital Health Cancer Center will join Dr. Joyce Varughese, medical director our Center for Gynecologic Oncology at the Together in Teal Walk this Saturday in Philadelphia. The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition hosts this event, and our team will walk with ovarian cancer patient Lani O’Byrne and her mother, Roxanne, who is the coordinator of the Cancer Center’s CyberKnife and High Dose Rate Brachytherapy programs.
