New Jersey Medicare patients will be guinea pigs in a grand experiment that tests the capabilities of using artificial intelligence to decide which medical procedures should be covered by insurance.

By outsourcing some of the decision-making process to AI technology, doctors like Dr. Mehmet Oz hope to ease the administrative burden on providers and ensure timely payment for Medicare services. “It’s the number one complaint not only from patients, but providers, doctors like myself, are continually struggling with this issue,” said Oz, a former talk show host who now runs the CMS, a federal agency within the Department of Health and Human Services. 👇Tap the link below to read the full story.

The 49th Annual Symposium and 57th Annual Residents’ and Research Conference was a success! Special thanks to our speakers Dr. Wilford Gibson AAOS 2nd VP, Dr. Roger Widmann HSS, and Dr. Ira Kirschenbaum along with Isabelle Babet-Kaling and AJ Sabath.
Resort was a wonderful host and helped it go off without a hitch.
