Founded in 2008, Farmers Soapery offers awesome artisan lye soap, interesting bath & body products, beautifully scented candles & wax melts, odd and geektastic jewelry, mixed media/ altered art, oddities, and whatever else strikes my fancy. My homemade lye soaps are created using the old-fashioned "cold process" method, resulting in a bar of soap that is long lasting and great for your skin! What started as my own search for a reprieve from dry winter skin has grown into something so much bigger! Each bar I make is created using my own recipe of olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, castor oil, and safflower oil in just the right amounts. Much trial and error has gone into this little indie business, and everything is done in-house (literally!) from our product formulations and handmade wooden molds all the way to designing, printing, and applying the labels! I love what I do, and am already very proud of what I have accomplished with this mad science experiment that began in my kitchen with a jug of humble, unassuming olive oil, some lye, and a bit of water. Customers are one of the most important aspects of what I do at Farmers Soapery, and your input and feedback is very valuable to me. Don't ever hesitate to send me comments, questions, or concerns! I'm so glad you've taken the time to learn more about my business, and hope you'll try some of my wonderful products! Thank you for your interest in Farmers Soapery!

Hey Jenn, wtf is “slubbing”? OMG only the CUTEST THING EVER.

The shows affection and leaves its scent on stuff via a process known as slubbing (slobber rubbing lol).

The awesome possum pretty much licks and slobbers on you, and then rubs its adorable little face and chin on you (sorta like head butts from a cat), usually while hugging your arm, shoe, or whatever with their little hands.

It is the sweetest. And so are opossums. Be nice to them, because they are just the bestest.
