The next time you’re driving through Trenton, there’s a coffee shop worth a stop. Java Junction, operated by the Downriver nonprofit Arkay Inc., employs adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and after a recent social media boost, business is picking up at just the right time.

...Let's talk about money for a minute.
Some programs that "train" adults with disabilities do not compensate their participants. Java Junction By Arkay employees, however, earn an hourly wage AND tips, which go entirely to the working Java Partners.

As a 501c3, Arkay Incorporated invests Java Junction profits into disability services. Our goal is mission-driven, not just selling coffee.

While tips and donations are optional, they are valued and support a worthy cause.

Following the conclusion of another beautiful exhibit from The Arc Downriver at WCCD, Java Junction will soon feature new artwork. All original paintings are priced at $30, with proceeds going directly to the artist. Notecards are available for $5, with proceeds donated to benefit The Arc Downriver.
