Just two months after joining our Aveanna family, Olivia faced sudden respiratory distress. Aveanna Nurse Danielle immediately sprang into action, contacting Olivia's pulmonologist and implementing a number of care measures to make sure Olivia and her parents never felt alone. Danielle's quick thinking and clinical expertise allowed Olivia to spend Thanksgiving safely at home with her loved ones.

Home care offers families the chance to play a crucial role in their loved ones' care journeys, right from the comfort of their own home. For Aveanna Direct Support Professional Jennifer, the care she can provide to her son, Tucker, as both his mom and one of his caregivers has strengthened their bond and given her the peace of mind that her son's needs are cared for by those who know him best.

“I appreciate working for Aveanna because it provides the flexibility my family needs, particularly allowing me to be home with my children when they are not in school," said Jennifer. "Before my son Tucker required support, I hadn’t fully realized how essential school-based aides can be. Through Aveanna, I gained a deeper understanding of the impact this role has on a child’s safety, learning, and overall well-being."

Jennifer's role as a member of Tucker's care team has made her relationship with her son that much more meaningful, especially after one of his aides went on maternity leave and she stepped in as his aide in her absence.

"Tucker’s aide has been exceptional. Her dedication, care, and the strong bond she has formed with him have been invaluable to our family. When I stepped into the role as one of his aides, it was incredibly meaningful to witness his day-to-day experiences at school and to support him directly.
