𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓 - David K. “Pinky” Olson, age 83, of Fairmont, MN, and formerly of Trimont, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at his home.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for David at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 19, 2025, at First Lutheran Church (61 Apple St E, Trimont, MN 56176) with Pastor Kristin Anderson Kurzejeski officiating. The service will be recorded and available afterwards on David’s obituary page.

Visitation will take place from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center – Trimont Chapel (111 Apple Street East, Trimont, MN 56176). Visitation will also take place from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church on Friday. David will be laid to rest at First Lutheran Cemetery, in rural Trimont with full military honors.

✨ The Martin County West Community Foundation has an exciting lineup of events for the rest of the year! ✨

They will be assisting with some, attending others, and even hosting a few of their own.

🎅 This year, our Santa Event will be held at our new facility in Sherburn!
🐖 And don’t worry - Ham BINGO will still take place in Trimont!

Thank you, Cody Potts, for once again exceeding expectations with your incredible woodworking skills! 🙌

Cody repurposed more of the old pew wood from the Trimont United Methodist Church and completed our hallway with one more beautiful coat rack.

It’s amazing to look back and see the transformation - just a year ago, these bathrooms were being taken out, and now we have this meaningful finishing touch that ties history and purpose together, and new accessible bathrooms!

Can you believe it’s September already?! That means it’s time to move the monthly community coffee group to St. Paul's Community Church, Welcome MN / our Welcome location! Join this wonderful group for coffee, conversation, and good company!

Join the group this morning at 8:30 AM -10:00 AM in Welcome! Coffee will be there through the end of September, and then moved to our Sherburn location for all of October (aka First Congregational Church of Sherburn). Thank you to the rest of our area churches for being such wonderful hosts through the whole year!

Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸

Today, Crystal, Ean, and Marvin were able to sneak away and enjoy some of our favorite Minnesota State Fair food and exhibits (and even a good stroller nap!).

We also made time to track down the memorial bench for one of Ean’s mortuary school instructors’ sons, Peter Meslow!

𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓 - Rosemary (Grunert) Atzenhoefer, age 85, of rural Trimont, passed away peacefully at Seasons Healthcare in Trimont, MN, on Thursday, August 28th, 2025.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Rosemary at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 5th, 2025, at Waverly Lutheran Church in rural Trimont (1333 220th St, Trimont, MN 56176) with Pastor Kelly France officiating. The service will be recorded and available afterwards on Rosemary’s obituary page at www.sinnfuneralhome.com.

Visitation will take place from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM prior to Rosemary’s service at the church on Friday. Following Rosemary’s services, she will be buried at the Waverly Lutheran Church Cemetery next to her husband, Erwin, who passed away on January 19, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Rosemary’s name to Waverly Lutheran Church. If you would like to leave a message of sympathy for Rosemary's family or read her full obituary, you can do so by following the link below.
