From baby born here… to NICU nurse… to mom welcoming her own baby at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital has always been part of Gabby's story. Now, it is a story that has come beautifully full circle.

Born here in 2000, Gabby Chandler returned years later as a NICU nurse, caring for some of our tiniest patients and forming lifelong bonds with families. One of those babies even became her ring bearer at her wedding.

Now, she and her husband have welcomed their son, Samuel Jr., at the very same hospital where her life began.

Coworkers across the hospital and families she once cared for have been waiting for Baby Sammy’s arrival and celebrating this unforgettable moment alongside her.

This is what generations of care look like. Read Gabby’s full story and see how one nurse’s journey came full circle: https://bit.ly/49LyWPe

At just 33 years old, George Bishop’s life changed in a moment. What started as a sudden, severe headache turned into a life-threatening stroke that nearly took him from his family.

His daughter’s quick thinking and a 911 call set in motion a chain of care that would save his life. As George’s condition deteriorated rapidly, medical teams stepped in — stabilizing him, placing him on life support and fighting through complications like infection and pneumonia.

Days turned to uncertainty but hope never left the room. Against all odds, George began to wake up — confused, but alive. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of physicians, nurses and specialists focused on advanced stroke and critical care, he was given a second chance.

Today, George is back to doing what he loves — working, living and cherishing every moment with his family.

If you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms of a stroke, call 911 or go to an emergency room immediately: https://bit.ly/3ZznwIm.
