✨ One of our therapists at Growth & Recovery Counseling, Hannah Solien, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI), speaks about the differences and similarities between anxiety attacks and panic attacks. ✨

While they can feel alike, they’re not quite the same. Anxiety often builds gradually in response to ongoing stress or worry, while panic attacks come on suddenly and intensely, sometimes without a clear trigger. Both can bring on racing thoughts, chest tightness, and a sense of fear, but understanding the difference helps you respond with compassion rather than panic.

At Growth & Recovery Counseling, Hannah helps clients learn grounding techniques, identify triggers, and develop tools to manage both anxiety and panic with confidence.

NAMI Florida is on the lookout for passionate young leaders to join the NextGen Florida Youth Advisory Board! If you’re between 18 and 25 years old and eager to make an impact, this year-long leadership program is calling your name.
