🔥Massage therapy and how it is beneficial:
Trigger point therapy/ Myofascial release therapy. This type of therapy or massage specifically targets the main areas of pain and tension which alleviates/works out those areas!
💪🏻Massage is a preventative maintenance measure that can be taken to prevent injury to any muscle or body system.
•It alleviates pain, tension and discomfort by increasing blood flow as well as the lymphatic flow!
•It also reduces inflammation and spasms/cramping.
•Massage Increases range of motion in joints while also lubricating the joint.
•It releases endorphins which is the body’s own natural pain killer which promotes healing.
•Massage breaks down scar tissue and helps reduce post-exercise soreness.
•It also stimulates waste and toxin elimination!
•It will help breakdown tension areas that have an accumulated over years or days!
•Any and every horse could use a good massage!
Overall the main body systems benefiting from massage is the muscular system,
lymphatic system, circulatory system, nervous system and the skin itself.
