As flu cases continue to rise, knowing when to rest at home — and when to seek care — is critical. Dr. Biernbaum explains that worsening symptoms or a high fever are signs it’s time to be evaluated by a doctor or local urgent care, and that patients should be fever-free for at least 24 hours before returning to work or school to help protect others.
