Monday Motivation

"It always seems impossible until it’s done." — Nelson Mandela

Physical therapy can be challenging — the exercises push you, the progress can feel slow, and some days it’s tough to keep going. But every time you show up, you’re moving closer to your goal. With persistence, dedication, and the right guidance, the “impossible” becomes your new reality.

Keep climbing. We’ll be with you every step of the way.

Surprise visit from the tiniest “clinic director” around! 💕Baby Nora stopped by to check on Dad, AKA Ben Kingan, DPT, who leads our Kalispell North team, and made herself right at home testing out the toys/PT equipment! With parents like Ben and Jenni (Healthy Beginnings Pediatric Therapy), Nora's bound to follow in their footsteps changing the world through therapy one day, but for now, she's making everyone's day by sharing her cuteness and precious smile. Thanks for coming in to see us, Baby Nora!

It was snowing, raining, sunny, blowing: all around perfect weather for a backcountry Ultra Marathon! With over 640 racers hitting the Whitefish Trail system over the weekend, The Whitefish Trail BLAZER was a tremendous success for those hardy souls, young and old, who prefer reaching their peak on extremely challenging dirt, rocks and step terrain! The amazing folks at Whitefish Legacy Partners did a phenomenal job orchestrating all of the races and racers, even down to the signature orange BLAZERs that the winners got to wear on the podium! Having beaten out their competitors racing 31+ miles up and back down the trails of Big Mountain/Whitefish Mountain Resort, congrats to the top 5 winners of the ULTRA 50K for the men: Nick, Micah, Andrew (with baby trophy), Hayes, and Eric, and for the ladies: Sam, Erika (with same baby trophy), Ellie, Olivia, and Jill! Thank you to OrthoRehab's Shelby, Joel, Blake and Malia who were on hand in our tent administering aid and good cheer! Until 2026, thank you Whitefish Legacy Partners for putting on this excellent event for racers of all ages!

October 13th is Metastatic Breast Cancer Day.

Did you know that 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime? Early detection through regular mammograms and self-checks can dramatically improve outcomes and physical therapy can play an important role in recovery, mobility, and strength following treatment.

Our Dillon team Kirk, Charelle (with baby Ryatt), Alyssa, Amara, Brittany, and Natalia proudly wear pink in support of those impacted by breast cancer. Together, we stand for awareness, healing, and hope.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and today October 13 we recognize Metastatic Breast Cancer Day.

Our East Helena crew — Lily, Jessy, Dakota, and Jenna — proudly wear pink in support of everyone affected by breast cancer. Together, we honor strength, resilience, and hope every step of the way.

While most breast cancers are not inherited, about 5–10% are linked to genetic mutations such as BRCA1 and BRCA2. These genes normally help repair damaged DNA, but when altered, they can greatly increase the risk of developing breast and ovarian cancers. Knowing your family history and discussing genetic testing with your healthcare provider can be a powerful step in prevention and early detection.

As the leaves turn and the air gets colder, many people start planning ahead for elective surgeries—like joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs, or spine procedures.

At OrthoRehab Physical Therapy, we’re here for every step of your recovery—but did you know starting before surgery can make a big difference? Prehab (pre-surgical rehab) can help improve strength, mobility, and overall outcomes—often leading to faster recovery and better results after surgery.

Let’s get you prepared, confident, and strong before you head into the OR. Talk to us today about how prehab can set you up for success.
