Dr. Fareed was nominated for her extraordinary compassion and generosity toward a patient experiencing difficult times. Not only did she provide support to help renew the patient’s license, but she also thoughtfully put together a gift bag with winter essentials including a wallet, gloves, hat, and even a space heater.

Her selfless act of kindness truly embodies the heart of Henry Ford OptimEyes. 💛

Henry Ford OptimEyes was invited by PACE Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Katzman to share how Optometry can integrate with care of the PACE patient. Dr. Humes gave a 30 minute presentation on diabetic retinopathy, hypertension, and highlighted how optometry is part of the primary care team. Each participant was given a small gift of an HFO chip clip/magnet. Thank you, Dr. Humes, with the support of Steve Mehok for great presention.
