A common misunderstanding I see is that to improve your overall health, the solution always requires medicine, extensive blood work, and doctor oversight. While thatโ€™s true in some cases, the reality is that many people can see an improvement in their health just by raising awareness and implementing lifestyle choices related to nutrition, sleep, physical activity, and stress management.

That's why in this virtual group we'll be focusing on three aspects of nutrition: protein, hydration, and sugars and sweeteners. There will be actionable items that you can immediately implement into your routines. Additionally, enjoy accountability, empowerment, live coaching, and community as you explore new habits.

The group will begin on Monday, March 3rd. There will be at least three 30-minute zoom calls offered during the three-week period. The day and time will be established by a poll that allows for the greatest number of participants to attend.

**The 8AM timeslot on 3/3 is solely used as a placeholder - the time of our first zoom call will be established by participants.
The group will conclude on Friday, March 21st however the online resources and content will remain available beyond March 21st.

Good morning! I hope you had a joyful and peaceful Christmas! If you are looking to lead and live a healthier life in 2025, let's connect. I am a functional medicine health coach who helps YOU implement meaningful and simple diet, lifestyle, and behavior choices geared at the root cause of disease, dysfunction, and unwanted symptoms.
New habits, navigating food choices, and lifestyle changes are not easy however the impact is profound. Short term benefits may include clearer skin, improved sleep, more energy, and less pain. Long term benefits may include improved cardiometabolic health (think A1C, cholesterol levels, blood pressure, BMI, etc.), less pharmaceuticals, improved health for your children and your children's children.

The group will begin on Monday, January 6th. There will be at least four 30-minute zoom calls offered during the four-week period. The day and time will be established by a poll that allows for the greatest number of participants to attend.

Let's talk about some common associations that you could be making that are interfering with your health...
1. I am tired, so I will eat sweets, chips, etc.
2. I don't have time, so I won't be exercising today.
3. I am overwhelmed, so I stress eat.
4. I messed up my morning routine, so I can't do anything right.
5. It was a rough day at work, so I deserve an extra dessert.
Sounds like a recipe for an unfortunate downward spiral, right?
What if we swapped a few words out...
1. I am tired, and I can eat a whole-food-based dinner.
2. I don't have time, and I can CHOOSE how I spend my time today.
3. I am overwhelmed, and I can make a conscious choice for what I eat.
4. I messed up my morning routine, and I can try again.
5. It was a rough day at work, and I can express gratitude to my body and mind. What form(s) of self-care would feel truly rewarding?
I invite you to bring mindfulness into your day so that the next time you do want to stress eat (or any negative behavior), you can demonstrate curiosity for what is driving the stress eating. Is it because you've always associated a sense of overwhelm with stress eating? Is it because stress eating is your coping mechanism? Tap into your curiosity...

Good Morning! A new cohort of Functional Medicine Health Coaching begins on Monday the 28th! It's your turn to reset, refocus, and restart!

Are you looking to reduce inflammation, reset your metabolism, regulate hormones, increase your energy, improve your skin, decrease joint pain, sleep better, feel better in your skin, and/or improve your mood?
If you answered yes to any of these, I would love to help you!
The main THREE focus points for this group will be protein, sugar, and hydration. I have personally felt the immense impact of improving these three areas on my blood glucose, energy levels, mental health, sleep, and overall health. I'm ready to help you see and feel these differences, too!

We must fix the food system to create a healthy nation that prevents skyrocketing healthcare costs and fosters a thriving society.โฃโฃ โฃโฃ

Over a decade ago, at the World Economic Forum, I asked a room full of global health leaders a simple but pivotal question: Why are we focusing on treating chronic disease rather than addressing the root causes driving it? Their silence spoke volumes.

Today, that question is more relevant than ever.

Now, as I continue this fight on a larger stage, including my testimony before Congress last month, we are tackling the same issue: the way our broken food system is at the heart of our health crisis, harming not just our bodies but also our environment, economy, and future.

The so-called "cheap" food that is fueling chronic disease and poor health outcomes isnโ€™t cheap at all. Itโ€™s costing us lives, livelihoods, and billions of dollars.

Chronic disease is just one symptom of a much bigger problemโ€”a system that fails to prioritize the health of our people and planet.

This has to change, and it starts with holding our leaders accountable.

Together, we can demand the changes needed to fix this broken system for good.
