This week we pause to honor Black Maternal Health Week and to acknowledge the significant inequities Black women face in maternal and reproductive healthcare, from delayed infertility diagnoses to higher rates of pregnancy-related complications.

More than 80% of pregnancy-related deaths in the U.S. are preventable. These are systemic problems that require systemic solutions, and they start with healthcare providers who are committed to equitable, compassionate, and affirming care.

Black Maternal Health Week is a time to listen, learn, and commit to doing better. We see you, we hear you, and RMA of Michigan is committed to showing up for every patient with the quality of care they deserve.

RMA of Michigan was proud to sponsor a table at the Royal Oak Farmers Market last week! 🌿

We got to meet so many incredible people from our community, share information about our fertility services, and talk about the meaningful opportunity to become an egg donor through the EggCelle Donor Program.

A huge thank you to Cheryl and Katie for representing our team with so much warmth and dedication. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat! We hope to see you again soon. 💙

Today is World Health Day and this year’s theme is one we live every single day. Together for health. Stand with science.

At RMA of Michigan, science is at the heart of what we do. From IVF and IUI to genetic testing and embryo freezing, the advances in reproductive medicine over the past several decades have made the impossible possible.

These are life-changing breakthroughs built on decades of research, innovation, and dedication. Millions of lives are forever changed because scientists and physicians refused to stop asking what is possible.

We stand with science, and we stand with our patients. Today and always. 💙

April Fools’ Day is tomorrow, and this is your reminder that pregnancy announcements are not a prank.

1 in 6 people worldwide experience infertility, and 1 in 4 have experienced pregnancy loss.

Let’s be mindful of the people around us who may be navigating these experiences and choose humor that is thoughtful, inclusive, and kind. 💙

New clinical guidance from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) confirms that surgery is no longer required to diagnose endometriosis.

On average, patients wait between 4 and 11 years to receive a diagnosis. The need for surgical confirmation has been a major reason for this delay.

Now, with comprehensive guidance on clinical evaluation and imaging tests, providers can identify and begin treating endometriosis sooner.

Surgery still plays an important role in certain cases, including complex disease, infertility related to endometriosis, or severe and persistent symptoms.

This update is a meaningful step toward earlier diagnosis, better access to care, and improved outcomes for those living with endometriosis.

“We switched clinics to RMA of Troy for our second cycle for personal reasonings and only have positive things to say about them. We appreciated the person centered care and felt our cycle was tailored for our success and not just a statistic or number. Billing was made easy! Nurses were great at answering all questions and we always appreciated seeing the Dr frequently even on holidays. I loved and appreciated Tonya the MA.”

At RMA of Michigan, we’re committed to guiding you with personalized care, and unwavering support. 💙
