I started yoga as a beginner—and in many ways, I still feel like one. Yoga has become a constant practice in my life, where every day feels like a new experience of relearning. It reminds me that growth isn’t about perfection, but about showing up again and again.
I first came to yoga for healing. Over time, it surprised me with its diversity—no two practices are ever the same. Yoga has a way of meeting you where you are, bringing you exactly what you need in that moment. It helps me relax and energize at the same time, gently guiding me back home within myself.
I began practicing yoga when I was 18, but it wasn’t until after I had my first son at 24 that I truly committed to it. Before that, I mostly followed online classes. But after becoming a mother, I felt ready to step into a studio and experience a beginner flow in a new way.
What I found there was more than movement—I found space to breathe, to rest my mind, and to release stress. That feeling stayed with me, and it’s one of the reasons I continue to return to my mat.
Yoga is still teaching me, every single day. And maybe that’s the point—forever a beginner, always learning, always coming back to myself.
