Most mobility issues aren’t caused by a single “tight” muscle. They come from a mix of strength, control, daily habits, and how your body handles stress.

Here are a few mobility myths we’re officially retiring:

Myth 1: “If it cracks, it’s good.”
The sound doesn’t tell you anything about joint health. Mobility comes from strong, well-functioning tissues, not noise.

Myth 2: “Pain means damage.”
Pain is a signal, not a diagnosis. Stress, sleep, posture, strength, and inflammation all influence how you feel.

Myth 3: “Stretching fixes everything.”
True mobility is the combo of flexibility, strength, and control. Stretching alone rarely solves long-term issues.

Myth 4: “If it hurts, rest until it goes away.”
Smart, guided movement heals faster than total rest. Motion is medicine when done correctly.

Myth 5: “You need perfect posture to avoid pain.”
Your body is built for variety. Changing positions throughout the day matters more than maintaining the “perfect” one.

At Wi******er Spine & Sport, our team looks at the whole picture, joint mechanics, strength, soft tissue health, movement patterns, and your daily habits, so we can build a plan that actually improves how you move and feel.

If mobility has been holding you back, we’re here to help you restore control, build strength, and move with confidence.

Your body’s mobility, posture, and performance all start with a healthy spine.
If you’ve been dealing with pain, stiffness, or limited movement, this is your sign to take action.
Like all of our doctors, Dr. Cassie uses evidence-based chiropractic care to identify the root cause of discomfort, restore alignment, and improve how your body moves and functions.
Small, consistent steps toward better movement can create big changes in how you feel every day.

We've been guiding him through each phase of care, using DNS, Blood Flow Restriction, isometrics, and adjustments to help him rebuild strength, stability, and confidence.

Dr. Peter Roy is breaking down the first steps in assessing and treating Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI) in a former hockey player.

From assessing hip rotation, abduction, and tension to introducing DNS low oblique sit for glute activation and intra-abdominal pressure control, this is where recovery begins for younger, athletic patients.

Bulletproofing the knee, one movement at a time.

Today’s lineup:
1. Front Foot Elevated Split Squat
2. Curtsy Lunge
3. Eccentric Kettlebell Squat

Each of these targeted exercises focuses on rebuilding strength, control, and stability after surgery, helping this patient move with more confidence and less pain.

By challenging balance, improving eccentric control, and strengthening supporting muscles, we’re setting the foundation for long-term joint health.

Our goal isn’t just recovery, it’s resilience.

This past weekend, we were honored to host Dr. Erica Boland and Dr. Lindsay Mumma for MoveMentors: Perinatal Manual Care (the largest MoveMentors course to date with 30 registrants! 🥳)

Throughout the weekend, Erica and Lindsay demonstrated how to transition patients from the treatment room to the gym and back into normal activities postpartum, bridging the gap between rehab and real life.

We’re proud to help bring education like this to our community and continue advancing perinatal care.
