Effective immediately, in order to be compliant with HIPAA and to protect the privacy of our patients, we are deactivating all patient portals for patients that have turned 18 years old.
If the patient would like to re-activate their patient portal under their own email address, we will need to hear directly from the patient.

4/10/26 2:45PM - We have temporarily lost power in the office. If you are trying to call, our phones are not working as they are VOIP, but using our cell phones as a hotspot, we do have our EMR running and can take messages through your patient portal. If you are having an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest ER or Urgent Care.
We are still seeing patients today until closing time.
4:00PM - Our power, phones, and internet are back on and working.

We are making changes to the check-in process for our office.
When you arrive for your appointment, please come directly to our window.
There are new forms, but you will only need to complete them for well-child visits, or every 6 months.
We are strongly encouraging everyone to activate their patient portal, as we are trying to have the forms completed by you, online, before you even arrive to your appointment.
If you need assistance with the patient portal, we are very happy to help you with your log-in and will be able to provide a tablet to use in the office, so that you can log-in and complete the forms online, which will put the completed information directly into the patient chart.

Please know that we are entering the busiest time of year for our office. We are currently scheduling well-child visits in September and have very few available time slots for well-child visits in August, keeping in mind that we reserve time for same day sick visits and follow-up visits.
If your child needs a physical for school, sports, work, travel, etc... there is a very good chance that their most recent physical is still valid for completing paperwork, as they are valid for one year. However, please do not wait until the last minute to request the paperwork. We ask for at least 24-48 business hours for any paperwork requests.
If the patient does, in fact, require a well-child physical appointment, please call us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate the request.

2/6/2025 - OK - so this is one of those rare days that the weather IS going to affect our schedule. Thursdays are usually Dr. Albert's late start day (usually 1:00PM - 6:00PM).

We may be closing early today, so Dr. Albert is coming in early to see patients that need to be seen. If you have an appointment scheduled for later today, please expect a phone call from us (if you haven't already been called). If you've been called, but we had to leave a message or you see a missed call, please call us back as soon as possible.

If your child is ill and needs to be seen, but haven't already scheduled an appointment, please call us as soon as possible, so that we can get your child on the schedule.

If we do close early, a provider will be on call, as there always is a provider on call when the office is not open. Please leave a message with our answering service and the on-call provider will call you back as soon as possible.

Dr. Albert will be out of the office on Friday, February 28th.

As always, whenever Dr. Albert is out of the office, there is a provider on call for any urgent visits during the day. Please always call our office at 518-273-3732 when care is needed. If we are not open, the on-call provider will receive your information and will call you within one hour or sooner.

Just a reminder that we rarely close due to weather. However, if we do close, it will be posted here on Facebook, also on our website (hoosickstreetpeds.com), and we will call everyone that is on the schedule who would be affected.

That being said, we do understand that you may feel uncomfortable driving in bad weather and may need to cancel your appointment. If that happens, we just ask that you call us as soon as possible, so that we cam make that time available to other patients (and so that we know you are ok.) If you call and reach our answering service, please leave a message with them. We will call you to reschedule if you need to cancel.
