📣 Now Accepting Applications — Fall Independence Prep Sessions!

We know… it’s almost summer ☀️ and thinking about September plans might not be at the top of your list. But if you’re a student (or parent) looking for more ways to build real-world independence, this is one of those “future you will be glad you did this” moments 🙌

This September, we’re offering 8-week Independence Prep Sessions designed to turn everyday challenges into practical, confidence-building skills.

✅ Hands-on learning

✅ Real-life experience that actually sticks

These sessions are built for students who want more practice navigating life beyond the classroom - and for families looking for solutions that complement what schools are already doing.

Building connection, one day at a time.

We spent a beautiful day at the Stage Nature Center in Troy - walking the trails, enjoying the fresh air, and simply being together.

Trips like this are about more than getting out of the building. They’re a chance to connect, to laugh, to try something new, and to feel part of a community. For many of our members, that’s an important step toward feeling more confident and independent in everyday life.

We’re grateful for days like this—and for the chance to keep creating them.

From laughs at the table to hands‑on creativity, our final Independence Prep Extension session was something special 🎨

We wrapped up the season in the pottery studio, celebrating not just the one‑of‑a‑kind pieces our participants created, but the confidence, friendships, and independence they’ve been building every step of the way.
