Here are 9 ways to get the most from do-it-yourself acupuncture treatment:

#1: Bring awareness into your symptoms.

#2: Avoid hand contact with sensitive body parts such as eyes. Wear gloves and wash hands thoroughly.

#3: Wear loose and comfortable clothing.

#4: Avoid caffeine, alcohol and sugar before and after the treatment.

#5: Turn off technology

#6: Stay warm and eat warm food.

#7: Do not over-eat or under-eat before and after the treatment

#8: Do not over-exert your body after the treatment, as your body needs some times to integrate the shift that happened in the treatment.
