We're ready for the Washington Town and Country Fair, are you?

Marie Moore, Mercy Washington and Lincoln Communities president, took part in the run-walk, along with her daughter, and spoke there. The run-walk on Saturday morning was the first pre-fair event where Mercy is a proud sponsor. We hope everyone enjoys fair week!

More time with patients, less time buried in paperwork. Thanks to AI, Mercy is changing the way doctors work. This shift caught the attention of KLAS Research, earning Mercy a spot among just four U.S. health systems to win the 2025 KLAS Arch Collaborative EHR Breakthrough Recognition. A big "thank you" to the Cedar Hills Elks Lodge #2678 from the team!

The Elks generously presented Mercy Health Foundation Jefferson with a $2,000 donation which will directly support Mercy Birthplace - Jefferson by providing essential equipment, materials and supplies needed to care for infants born with drug dependencies — both during their hospital stay and as they transition home with their families.

Great work by the Elks and everyone who supported their series of community-driven events, including their annual Battle of the Bands, two bike rides, local sponsorships, T-shirt sales and other fundraising activities.

We are growing the team at 65 Prime+ by Mercy Primary Care – South City with the addition of nurse practitioner Julie Rubin. Julie joins Drs. Molly Ehlman, Carolyn Koenig and Marina Russell at this primary care clinic specially designed for Medicare beneficiaries. 65 Prime+ care includes extended visit times, more frequent visits to better address chronic conditions and doctors and advanced practice providers focused on senior care.

“I love being a primary care provider, being able to establish long-standing relationships with patients, becoming part of their team and helping them manage their health on the continuum,” Rubin said.

Rubin was born and raised in St. Louis, and she is now married and raising her two school-aged children here. She enjoys being actively involved in her kids’ school and extracurricular activities.

Before she worked in Mercy Pediatrics, Pat Ameis was known for something special — delivering more than just meals.

She brought patients handmade signs with uplifting messages, always paired with a kind word and a smile. Those small moments left a big mark. People still remember the signs they got from Pat during their hardest days.

Now, she brings that same comfort to kids and families in our pediatric unit.

When you support the Mercy Health Foundation, you're helping caregivers like Pat bring hope in ways that go far beyond medicine.

🌷 Tulip Award Winner 🌷
Please help us congratulate Suzanne Davis, Mercy Lincoln patient access representative, for her standout work earning the Tulip Award recognition!

Suzanne was nominated by a patient’s family for her professionalism, compassion and calm presence during a particularly busy night in the ER. From comforting a young child to addressing safety concerns and clearly explaining the triage process, Suzanne went above and beyond to make every person feel heard and cared for.

The nomination read, in part, “She had a human touch while doing an almost impossible job... I felt safe and well cared for.”

Thank you, Suzanne, for showing what Mercy is all about — even in the busiest moments. 💜

We were so excited to take home the Reserve Champion title for best float at the 64th annual Lincoln County parade through downtown Troy on Sunday.
The theme of the parade was “Barn in the USA” and we had our very own version of Bruce Springsteen leading the way! Thousands of people parade through the community to kick off the week-long Lincoln County Fair-MO.

Help us congratulate Alesse Miller, RN, from our Medical/Surgical inpatient unit, who is our May 2025 DAISY Foundation award winner!

Alesse was nominated by a patient who called her “one of the best nurses I’ve ever had.” Beyond being quick with care and attentive with medication, Alesse offered something even more powerful: compassion.

The patient shared:
“She took the time to listen while I vented. It made a huge difference. Being a nurse myself for 20 years, I look up to her and want to strive to be as good as she is at nursing. She raises the bar high.”

The DAISY Award is a national recognition honoring extraordinary nurses, and Alesse’s dedication, empathy and excellence truly shine.

Our Nursing Shared Governance Committee reviews nominations and selects recipients biannually. We’re proud to celebrate Alesse and all of our amazing nurses who make a difference every day!

Mercy's BRAVE program is helping pregnant women across Missouri get the care they need.

Dr. Dan Jackson said Missouri's Pregnancy-Associated Mortality Review committee has found that maternal mental health conditions and substance use disorder are the leading causes of preventable maternal morbidity and mortality. "These deaths and the resulting devastating impact on families are preventable," he said.

Goal is to improve maternal and fetal outcomes.
