What a wonderful Vendor Fair today, hosted by Stanly County Senior Center Vendor Fair Expo. Health Care Vendors from all aspects of senior care services came together to provide education and information about the services they offer to the community. It was great to interact with local seniors, some familiar faces, and meet some new folks as well. Gentiva Hospice is honored to partner in such an important community resource event.

Joshua Morton-Cockerham was selected to represent North Carolina for the STAR leadership development program, an initiative that focuses on growing and empowering future leaders within our organization. Josh and other Gentiva team members participated in this meaningful training led by Gentiva executives across the company, during which they were assigned a challenging topic to research and present to leadership as a team. Josh and his group, who represented Indiana, California, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Texas, spent months on team calls, research, and interviews, in order to dive deep into their topic: Hospice Nursing Burnout- A Crisis In Compassion.

What a great time was had this morning in Stanly County!
From hosting our monthly Veterans Breakfast at the Stanly County Senior Center, along with Amivie TLC at home, to hosting a fun-filled penny auction at the Care Cafe senior respite program. Laughter, full bellies, and great conversations were had by all. But most importantly, it was creating the best memories with so many amazing seniors.

Gentiva Hospice Troy staff, as well as local community businesses and individuals whom we partner with, are filling up our grocery cart "Tackling Hunger" in the community. All donations will be delivered to The Mount Gilead Food Pantry.

Such a fun day at the anual Stanly County Bingo Blast for all Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities. What a great way to celebrate National Assisted Living Week. Many thanks to Christy Morgan of Spring Arbor for organizing this event, and for the amazing Bingo Caller, Bill Rigsbee! Gentiva Hospice, Tillery Compassionate care, and VIA Hospice representatives were present to help with the games and prize carts and providing and serving snacks. Such a fun day had by all and a full house of Bingo players filled the room with smiles and excitement.
