Martha Lloyd Community Services Comprehensive services are provided to persons with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism who become active and valued participants in their communities.

Martha Lloyd Community Services supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through residential programs, day services, and community-based supports — empowering independence, inclusion, and meaningful living. Martha Lloyd Community Services provides a continuum of care: residential services; day programs; work experience; and senior services; plus health, recreational, exercise and dietary programs. Dear Friends of Copper Tree,
We want to share an important update and, most importantly, offer reassurance: Copper Tree is NOT closing for good.

In fact, Copper Tree remains a vital part of the Martha Lloyd mission and our commitment to inclusion, opportunity, and community connection. As we continue to live out that mission, we are taking intentional steps to more fully involve the individuals we support in the everyday operations of the store.

To do this well, we will be temporarily closing Copper Tree for a short period of time to regroup, renovate, and reimagine the space. This pause will allow us to create an environment that better supports hands-on learning, meaningful engagement, and inclusive employment opportunities—while continuing to serve as a flagship retail location for our community.
This is an investment in our mission, in the individuals we support, and in Copper Tree’s future. We are excited about what’s ahead and look forward to welcoming you back soon to a refreshed space that reflects the heart and purpose of Martha Lloyd.

Please join us in congratulating Sandy on an incredible 50 years with Martha Lloyd Community Services!

Sandy Navone began her career with us on January 1, 1976, dedicating 44 years to the pool as a lifeguard, swimming instructor, and CPR class leader. After retiring, she continued to support our organization by subbing in the Day Program and CRF Residential, bringing her total service to an incredible 50 years!

Sandy is an exceptionally dependable member of our team—always willing to step in and help whenever she’s needed. Her dedication and unwavering commitment have made a lasting impact on all of us. We are deeply grateful for the hard work and care she has given over the years. Sandy is more than a valued team member—she is a cherished part of what makes Martha Lloyd so special.

As we say goodbye to this year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the growth, challenges, and meaningful moments that brought us here. New Year’s Eve is a time to pause, celebrate progress, and look ahead with intention.

Tonight, we’re thinking about the goals we want to set — both personally and together as an MLCS community. Whether it’s strengthening our programs, supporting one another, encouraging independence, or continuing to grow with compassion and purpose, every goal starts with a shared commitment.

We are deeply grateful for our dedicated staff, the individuals we support, and the families who trust and walk alongside us. Each of you plays an important role in shaping a community built on care, respect, and connection.
