Tuesday, April 21, 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, April 22, 10 a.m. to noon

• Troy: Lansingburgh Boys and Girls Club, 501 4th Avenue
• Yonkers: Yonkers Public Library – Grinton I. Will Branch, 1500 Central Park Avenue

In 2023, OMH traveled the state to get feedback from local communities after Governor Hochul’s historic investment in mental health. We followed up in late 2024 and are about to finish our second statewide tour. OMH is working with our county partners in the Hudson River region to host in-person community engagement sessions in Troy and Yonkers on Tuesday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 22.

The goal of these sessions is to learn how OMH can continue to improve mental health services at the local, regional, and statewide level as we plan new programs and policies. The sessions are open to all community members. Children, youth, adults, older adults, and families are welcome. We especially want to hear from people who receive or have received mental health services, and people who have wanted to get services but haven’t, for any reason. Light refreshments will be provided.

We need your help to spread the word about these free events. If you work with agencies in the region, please ask them to share this information with people in their programs so all voices can be heard. You can find printed flyers to post in your communities near the Central Office elevators, and PDF versions for both sites are attached. Please feel free to share the registration link and the QR code found below with people who want to register.

Help Preserve the NHTD Waiver!
The NHTD Waiver provides vital community based services for people in or at risk of entering nursing homes — but an enrollment cap has shut off access completely. NYAIL and partners are fighting to restore access this budget season.
We’re calling for two critical changes:
1️⃣ Make the NHTD carve out from Medicaid Managed Care permanent
2️⃣ Create a regional waiting list so people can hold a place for future openings
Your voice matters.
Your advocacy matters.
Your action matters.
📣 Tell your legislators to protect the NHTD Waiver.
