I practice internal medicine and gastroenterology. Namaste
(612)

I love giving my patients and their families the solutions they need to live happier, healthier lives. I was frustrated that, despite treatments, which included expensive medications and procedures, many of my patients were STILL suffering. Through my years of research and practice, I created a blueprint for folks to live a life, where health and wellness are abundant. I wrote a book describing th

ese principles and created a masterclass to help you learn them too! I look forward to sharing them with you as I do with thousands of patients in my practice. My team and I have started a Health Hero® movement. We would love for you to join us and we look forward to hearing your Health Hero® story

A recent study from Cambridge researchers reported that human skin cells were able to be “reprogrammed” to a more youthful biological state, showing changes consistent with being about 30 years younger at the cellular level. This was done using a form of cellular reprogramming that temporarily resets how cells behave without completely erasing their identity.
What matters here is the mechanism. The scientists did not simply slow aging. They exposed skin cells to factors that partially reset epigenetic markers, which are chemical signals that influence how genes are turned on or off. The goal is to reverse some of the functional decline seen with aging while keeping the cells still functioning as skin cells.
In lab conditions, the treated cells showed patterns linked to improved function, including better activity in genes associated with repair and regeneration. This is still early-stage research, and it was done in controlled laboratory settings, not in living humans. That distinction is important because results in a dish do not always translate directly to real-world therapies.
If this line of research continues to hold up, it could shift how we approach age-related skin changes and possibly other tissues in the future. But right now, it is experimental science, not an available treatment.
What are your thoughts on cellular “reprogramming” as a future approach to aging?

Every school should have a fix-it lab, where students learn to repair old clothes, electronics, and appliances. Kids should know repair is a choice.
