I practice internal medicine and gastroenterology. Namaste
(609)

I love giving my patients and their families the solutions they need to live happier, healthier lives. I was frustrated that, despite treatments, which included expensive medications and procedures, many of my patients were STILL suffering. Through my years of research and practice, I created a blueprint for folks to live a life, where health and wellness are abundant. I wrote a book describing these principles and created a masterclass to help you learn them too! I look forward to sharing them with you as I do with thousands of patients in my practice. My team and I have started a Health Hero® movement. We would love for you to join us and we look forward to hearing your Health Hero® story

As parents, teachers, and caregivers, it’s easy to focus on grades, rankings, and report cards—but there’s something far more important: a child’s mental and emotional well-being.

Scores may open doors, but resilience, confidence, and a sense of self-worth are what truly carry a child through life. Constant pressure, comparison, and unrealistic expectations can leave lasting effects, while support, understanding, and encouragement help them grow from within.

Shift the focus:
• Encourage curiosity over perfection
• Celebrate effort, not just results
• Listen without judgment
• Teach coping skills, empathy, and self-respect

Because real success isn’t defined by numbers—it’s reflected in a child who feels safe, valued, and capable.

Nurture their inner world, and everything else has a stronger foundation.

Chronic stress doesn’t just make you feel overwhelmed — it quietly damages your brain, gut, hormones, and immune system over time.

While we can’t always remove the sources of stress, we can support our body’s ability to handle it better. Certain everyday foods contain powerful compounds that help regulate cortisol, reduce inflammation, protect brain cells, and support mood and digestion.

Small nutritional choices can have a surprisingly meaningful impact on how you feel and function under pressure.

Save this so you have it ready the next time stress starts to build.

Coffee isn’t just your morning wake-up—it’s a complex drink with real health perks.

Rich in antioxidants, coffee helps combat oxidative stress and supports your body’s natural defenses. Regular intake has been linked to a lower risk of certain chronic conditions, making it more than just an energy boost.

It also has notable effects on brain function. The caffeine in coffee can enhance focus, memory, and alertness, while also supporting mood. Some research suggests that consistent coffee consumption is associated with a reduced risk of neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

Beyond the brain, coffee may benefit your heart. Studies indicate it can support circulation, help regulate blood sugar, and may be linked to a lower risk of heart disease and stroke when consumed in moderation.

And if you’re active, coffee can give you an extra edge—improving physical performance and endurance during workouts.

The key is balance. When consumed mindfully, coffee can be a simple daily habit that supports both mental and physical well-being. ☕💚

Health, through a Buddhist lens, goes far beyond the absence of illness—it’s about balance between the body, mind, and heart.

The body as a foundation
A healthy body supports clarity, awareness, and purposeful living. Caring for it through proper nourishment, rest, and mindful habits isn’t attachment—it’s responsibility.
The mind shapes well-being
Your mental state has a direct impact on your health. Stress, anger, and fear can drain the body, while calmness, gratitude, and mindfulness help restore balance and resilience. A peaceful mind supports a healthier life.
Balance is essential
The principle of moderation teaches us to avoid extremes:
• Not too much, not too little
• Eating with awareness
• Getting enough rest
• Letting go of harmful habits
• Practicing kindness toward yourself and others
True health lives in balance.
Compassion heals
Kindness, forgiveness, and practices like loving-kindness meditation can lower stress and strengthen emotional well-being. Connection and compassion are powerful forms of medicine.
Illness is part of being human
Rather than resisting it with fear, this perspective encourages patience, acceptance, and mindful self-care. Even difficult moments can offer insight and growth.

In essence:
Health is a calm mind, a balanced lifestyle, a compassionate heart, and a body cared for with awareness.

Measles is not a mild childhood illness. It is one of the most contagious viruses we know, and it spreads quickly when vaccination rates drop. Recent estimates suggest that if this trend continues, measles outbreaks in the U.S. could cost up to $1.5 billion every year. That number reflects more than hospital bills. It includes lost productivity, public health response, and long-term complications.

From a medical standpoint, this is preventable. The measles vaccine is highly effective and has been used safely for decades. When enough people are vaccinated, it creates community protection that limits the spread of the virus. When vaccination rates fall, that protection weakens, and outbreaks become more likely.

What concerns me is not just the financial impact, but the health risks. Measles can lead to pneumonia, brain inflammation, and in some cases, death. Even healthy individuals can develop serious complications. This is not a disease we should be seeing at this scale in modern healthcare.

Prevention is always more effective than treatment. Staying up to date with vaccinations is one of the simplest and most powerful ways to protect both individual and public health. It reduces strain on healthcare systems and protects vulnerable groups like infants and those with weakened immune systems.

What are your thoughts on the recent decline in vaccination rates?
