You may recognize Katie's face from our group photos. That's because for the last couple of years, she's been working as our administrative assistant. What you may not know is that she has been working hard in grad school to earn her Masters in Counseling. She is now entering her practicum and internship, which means she is starting to see clients. Take a look at the info below and if you are looking for an affordable counseling option, give us a call! Not only are her rates affordable, but she is also going to be working evenings and weekends, which I know is helpful for so many people who work a "9-5" job.

Hi everyone! My name is Katie Ross, and I’m excited to share that I’m a new masters level practicum mental health counseling student from Truman University. I am currently accepting clients here at E3 Counseling. This is a meaningful step in my journey as a counselor, and I feel honored to walk alongside clients during their healing process.

My approach is humanistic and client-centered, grounded in empathy, empowerment, and genuine connection. I believe you are the expert of your own life and my role is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, strengthen your voice, and move toward healing and growth at your own pace.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy reading, exercising, practicing yoga, coaching/playing soccer, being outdoors and spending time with my children. I value balance, curiosity, and staying connected to what keeps me grounded—both personally and professionally.

Mr. Gingerbread says the holidays are exhausting, and that you should definitely set healthy boundaries and protect your peace this holiday season!

Also, a HUUUUUUGE thank you to everyone who helped get things to the office for the family we adopted last minute this year. You guys really pulled through, and we are once again blown away by the generosity of people.

These kiddos could really use coats. Can anyone help?? We'd love to have them collected by Friday!

I know it's late in the Christmas season to be adopting a family, but we have been presented with a need for a close friend of one of our therapists who has taken an emergency foster placement of 3 boys who are in dire need of clothing, shoes, and other basic needs, in addition to some gifts for Christmas. We have very limited info, but would love for people to rally together and support this family.
You can drop things by our office at 131 Main Street in Troy, or have it mailed to us. In addition to that, you can also donate via venmo to and we will be sure to put it toward this family's needs.
Thanks in advance for any support you can provide! We are grateful for our precious community.

We've been told they like "typical boy stuff" - dinosaurs, hot wheels, legos, etc.
