Tuvimos el privilegio de liderar el taller “Revisión de componentes de rodilla para KAFOs, aplicaciones biomecánicas y componentes de alto rendimiento de tobillo de Becker para optimizar la cinemática de la marcha”, organizado por uno de los distribuidores de Becker en Argentina, y presentado en el Instituto de Ciencias de la Rehabilitación de la UNSAM.

Un enorme agradecimiento a todos los profesionales que nos acompañaron; su interés, preguntas y aportes son los que hacen posible el progreso en ortopedia. ¡Sigamos avanzando juntos hacia soluciones más efectivas e innovadoras!

We had the privilege of leading the workshop “Review of Knee Components for KAFOs, Biomechanical Applications, and Becker High-Performance Ankle Components to Optimize Gait Kinematics”, hosted by , one of Becker distributors in Argentina and presented at the Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences, UNSAM.

Today, we would like to honor a special person who has helped make Becker Orthopedic a better place to work at for the past 40 years. Over the years, Vickie has worked in multiple areas of our manufacturing division, but she has spent the last 30 years working as a seamstress in our Central Fabrication facility. Vickie’s attention to detail, superior craftsmanship and ability to fix almost anything is nothing short of impressive, but her finest and most precious qualities are her kind heart, thoughtfulness towards others and her enduring smile. Although we will greatly miss Vickie now that she is retiring, we all wish her the very best of health and happiness in this next phase of life. Thank you, Vickie, for everything you have done, not only for Becker Orthopedic, but also the many patients you have had a hand in helping along the way.

We're grateful for the opportunity to have spent time with Marty Carlson and the team from Tamarack Habilitation Technologies, Inc. earlier this week. Marty has had a tremendous impact on the field of O&P and how we consider gaining postural control of the foot and ankle when modifying patient models. We are making steps in assuring a digital workflow can provide the same level of quality and reliability in gaining such control. There is still a lot to consider in this process but moments like this are building blocks in doing so.
