“The Orthopedic Residency Program through Evidence in Motion (EIM) takes a hybrid approach, combining online classes, in-person mentorship, and weekend intensive courses throughout the year. Luckily, here at Choice, we have an in-house residency where our mentors are our reliable colleagues. This allows us to have clinical discussions, walk through our thought processes, and learn from each other’s clinical applications.
I personally chose the 12-month track, though EIM also offers an 18-month option. Throughout the year, we complete four main management courses, along with several supplemental courses designed to enhance our specialty skills. I had the opportunity to travel to Wisconsin, Maryland (twice), and New Jersey for the intensive courses. There, I met other residents and fellows in training, who were an incredibly smart and supportive group of professionals.
Given the chance to do it all over again, I absolutely would. A residency program not only supports continued learning but also helps refine clinical skills and fosters meaningful discussions with both professionals and patients.“
