Friends of Recovery - Rensselaer County We are an organization of persons in recovery from substance use and their families in Rensselaer Cou

We are a newly organized community in Rensselaer County, NY in recovery from substance use disorders who are working within and outside of our personal recovery methods to help people who want help accessing recovery services or transition from treatment into long term recovery. We are formed in coordination with the FOR-NY organization (www.for-ny.org). Additionally, we provide support services to families who are currently or have been impacted by someone else's substance use or addiction. We include all methods of recovery and all community partners who care to participate. We are in the process of applying for not-for-profit status and we are also a membership organization. Anyone interested in assisting to remove the stigma associated with addictions and to increase recognition of recovery as the solution to substance problems.
