If you are thinking about having kids in the future or are currently pregnant, one of the most important things you can do for your future children's long-term health is to make sure YOUR gut microbiome is in balance. Whatever you have going on is passed right on to your children through delivery, skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding...the good or the bad. Overgrowth of yeast? Yes, you can pass that along. A balanced gut microbiome supports optimal digestive function (AKA getting all the nutrients out of your food to support every other system in your body), immune function and modulation (less allergies/illness), lung and bronchial health (less upper respiratory infections/asthma), bladder and kidney health, less sinus/ear infections, skin health, unburdened liver, etc. Depending on your imbalance/symptoms, eating some yogurt may not be enough. You may need targeted strains of probiotics from a professional line or possibly the correct anti-microbial followed by probiotics. Not all are created equal and they all have different uses. Work with someone you trust to help you get this in balance. Your kids will thank you. Already have kids? No need to worry. You can work on your microbiome as well as theirs with a qualified practitioner. Questions- Feel free to comment or PM me.
