Dreaming of a .

They say that integration back into the "normal" world can be a process. Man, they weren't kidding. I had not been back to the playa in ten years. My decompression experience this time around is really difficult. Random tears of nostalgia, sadness, and loneliness for five days remind me of what a profound impact the community and experience imprint on one's soul. This year was one that will go down in history for posing difficulties, danger, and inconvenience. Luckily for me, my camp thrived. We had ample resources, no pressing need to leave, and insanely weird (that means good) attitudes towards mud and wetness.

With all the gratitude I can imagine, I want to thank everyone who continues to spread the love, creativity, and connections made out on the playa into our daily lives. This energy is truly the heart of humanity and what will keep us going when all else is lost.

I love you, humanity. I love you, playa. "Normal" life is so fu***ng hard sometimes, but it's a beautiful disaster I'd never take back living in because of this essence of collaboration.

Perfection is far from realistic, however, a consistenet effort to love and care for yourself is necessary in a complete journey to wellness.
