This is one task I take seriously. Every time I say: I’m just going to place them as they fall and then I can’t. Making them look organized but at the same time random is not a task for the faint of heart.
I used pink sprinkles on the purple part of the cake and then purple stars on the pink part of the cake…

Did you notice that? I probably did make it a big deal but I love it!

Yes, I still make decorated cookies! 🧡🍊 The past few weeks I’ve been sharing more of my sourdough journey, but cookies will always have my heart. This orange baby shower set was such a sweet reminder of why I started baking in the first place.

Our self-served bakery has a special dedication this weekend, one that is close to our hearts.

This isn’t just any self-served bakery event. This weekend, 100% of the profits will be going directly to Mabel Manthey’s GoFundMe. Mabel is a bright and beautiful three-year-old girl who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. She’s the sweetest little thing, with a truly contagious smile that can light up any room. Mabel loves art, princess dresses, and all things girly, and we’re determined to help her and her family during this challenging time.

About US

Introducing myself has always been difficult for me. I have a very diverse background. I'm a born and raised Dominican who moved to US after finishing medical school in pursue of a medical career. I'm currently a Licensed Nutritionist/Certified Nutritionist Specialist. Also, while being a Mom, I discovered my passion for cooking and baking. I started learning about baking online in December of 2015 while I finished my Masters in Nutrition. After lots of trials, I have been making beautiful cookies and celebration cakes. While I was improving my skills, the Cottage Food Law in CT was being finalized and now I’m also a Licensed Cottage Food Operator and Owner of this proud home-based business 'Sweets by Mariela LLC'.
