Side-lying isn’t just for pregnancy, it’s one of the most versatile and comfortable positions I use in sessions.

If lying face down or face up doesn’t feel right for your body, side-lying can take pressure off the low back, hips, shoulders, and even make breathing easier. It’s especially helpful for post-surgical clients, anyone dealing with pain, or just people who want to fully relax without fighting the table.

I use plenty of pillows and bolstering to support your head, neck, hips, and legs so you feel stable, aligned, and completely at ease. No awkward balancing, no “just deal with it” positioning.

Your body doesn’t have to fit the table. The table adjusts to you.

Manual lymphatic drainage is one of the most calming treatments I offer, and not just because it’s gentle.

It works directly with your nervous system. The slow, rhythmic movements signal your body to shift out of fight-or-flight and into rest-and-repair. Heart rate slows, breathing deepens, and your system finally gets a chance to downshift.

People come in thinking it’s just for swelling or post-op, but leave feeling noticeably calmer, lighter, and more regulated.

If your body feels stuck in “on” all the time, this is a good place to start. Bonus: it’s great for allergy relief!

I work with a lot of people who have tried everything.

Stretching, strengthening, rest, more workouts, less workouts…

And they’re still in pain.

Most of the time, it’s not that they’re doing the wrong things. It’s that something is being missed.

Tension patterns, compensation, the way the body is holding stress…

That’s where therapeutic massage comes in.

If you feel like you’ve been doing “all the right things” and not getting anywhere, I can help you figure out what’s actually going on.

If your allergies are hitting hard right now, your lymphatic system is working overtime.

That puffy, congested, heavy feeling in your face and sinuses? That’s fluid that isn’t moving efficiently.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage helps support that process.

It’s very gentle on purpose. Your lymphatic system sits just under the skin, so it doesn’t need deep pressure to get things moving.

The goal is to encourage flow, reduce that “stuck” feeling, and help your body clear things out more efficiently.

Clients are often surprised how much lighter their head and face feel after.

If allergy season is dragging you down, this is something simple that can help your body do what it’s already trying to do.

There was a point in my career where I dreaded certain clients. Not because of the work, but because I was not protecting my energy.

I once had a man curse at me on the phone. I was in a session when he called, and was upset that I hadn’t dropped everything to run to the front desk. I told him I wasn’t comfortable with him coming in.
A year later, he tried to book again.

I was told that I should give him another chance. I said no thanks.

Another therapist took him instead and they agreed, he wasn’t very pleasant.

That stuck with me once I formed my own business. When someone shows you who they are, you can go ahead and believe them the first time.

I do not override my instincts for the sake of a booking. I do not make exceptions that cost me my peace. And because of that, the space I’ve created feels better for everyone who walks into it.

If all you’re doing is strength training and skipping mobility work, it will catch up with you.

As we age, collagen and protein in the fascia (connective tissue) naturally decline.
Tissues do not bounce back the same way.
They get tighter, less hydrated, and less adaptable.

If you are only loading the body and never moving it through its full range, things start to feel stuck. This is where mobility work matters.

Adding yoga, even a little, can help keep your body moving well, not just working hard.

If you are not sure where to start, I offer 1:1 yoga sessions built around your body and your goals.

You can book through my site or message me with questions.

One of the biggest misconceptions about yoga is that it has to be a full class to “count.”

It doesn’t.

A few minutes of movement can:
• improve mobility
• reduce tension
• support recovery
• help your nervous system settle

You’re not trying to become a yoga person overnight.
You’re just giving your body a little support each day. And that adds up.

Your lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump. It relies on you.

Not when you’re sick. Not just after surgery. All the time.

If you want to support it when things are already going well:

• Move your body daily (walking counts)
• Breathe deeply (your diaphragm is a major driver of lymph flow)*
• Stay hydrated
• Get quality sleep
• Avoid staying in one position for too long
• Gentle self-massage or dry brushing (light pressure, not aggressive)

*If you want to take that a step further for your health, breathing exercises called Pranyama is an excellent way to stay healthy!

You don’t need to overhaul your life. Your lymphatic system responds best to consistency, not intensity.

And if you want to take that support a step further, Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, targeted way to keep things moving even when nothing feels “wrong.”
