What is a Hospice Volunteer?
Hospice volunteers are exceptional people. They donate their time and efforts to provide care and comfort for someone with a life-limiting illness – a labor of love that requires a special person with just the right touch. They have a passion for helping others and make a profound difference in the lives of the patients, families, and communities we are privileged to serve.
Alabama Hospice Care of Birmingham is currently seeking patient volunteers to provide in-person activities and companionship for our current patients. This includes things like reading, life review, listening, watching a patient’s favorite shows, playing board or card games, scrapbooking, yard work, animal care, respite, etc.
If you have a passion for helping others and making a difference, consider becoming a hospice volunteer. We welcome volunteers from all walks of life.
