Dr. Talebi, operates at 2bwell clinics, in Lake Oswego, and downtown Portland, in Oregon, where she specializes in hormone balance, gastroenterology, weight loss, obesity, fatigue, menopause, depression/sadness, anti-aging medicine and auto-immune disease. Oregon in 1994 with a bachelors degree in Psychology and minors in Chemistry and Biology. While pursuing a postgraduate study in Public Health Education and Promotion, she learned about alternative Medicine. It was then that she found the passion for holistic medicine and a growing interest in natural health care which prompted her to pursue a career in naturopathic Medicine. In 2001, she earned her Doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon (NCNM).NCNM is one of only 5, accredited, Naturopathic Medical schools in the United States whose graduates are eligible for licensure in those states which regulate Naturopathic medicine. Realizing that unlike Conventional healthcare, Natural medicine is not a band-aid solution. A core principle of her practice which is based on Functional Medicine is to find the underlying cause of a disease through looking at the body’s physiology. This is done through comprehensive lab work and detailed questions. While, lab work are commonly performed at an allopathic physicians office, often the information obtained are considered within normal ranges. This is because laboratories use ranges based on sick and unhealthy individuals so a person is only notified when their results are in pathological ranges; meaning they have already developed a serious disease. Thus why a person may have various lab work done with normal results but don’t feel normal. As a result they are dismissed with the implication that the symptoms are just in their head. This is like dealing with a catastrophe instead of picking up the signs before it happens. This crisis disease management mind set has brought about many pharmaceutical drugs which treat this level of disease only. Many of these drugs are not without side effects. These side effects, in turn, warrant prescription of other drugs to mask these new symptoms and it just becomes a vicious cycle. Dr. Talebi’s practice and area of expertise is focused on preventing these diseases before they get to crisis level. This beautiful patient likes bigger lips. She started seeing me last year (first front- facing picture) and we started with one syringe of Juvederm Ultra Plus. Ten months later she returned to further augment her lips and again one syringe of Juvederm Ultra was used (middle front facing photo is from today before her treatment and the third is immediately after the treatment).
