Question:
Da Silva says If dyslexia- the problem is proprioception PDS
BBOT says parietal lobes is a problem with dyslexia - correct?
And as I listen to lectures it could be temporal lobes.
If the parietal and temporal are the problem- then we should move away from those lobes. Which means treat upper brain?
Is Da silva lenses are treating the parietal lobes directly stimulating or not stimulating?
If it is temporal lobes and the case history supports this - then………I do the BFT to see which lobes would be best to treat….but can I just assume it is temporal lobes with dyslexia and try to treat upper brain? And or the Left brain since we know usually dyslexia is a Dom right brain issue ?
Answer:
Dyslexia is a problem with coordinating the left frontal, temporal, and parietal regions. There is usually too much stimulation on the right side counterparts (bossy right brain) and not enough on the left. In this case, we usually need to activate those left areas to get them to coordinate. There is usually one area that needs more stimulation than the others. Da Silva lenses stimulate parietal, modified Da Silvas have more influence closer to the temporal, and microlenses help with frontal. (And tints too).
I have tried to do the empirical lenses (if dyslexia, choose this lens). But it was never as successful as just asking the brain what it needed with the blind snap test. There is usually some other underlying condition that you need to balance first before you can really go after the dyslexia functions.
