Understanding Network Spinal Analysis (NS)
Network Spinal works in harmony with the body’s innate intelligence, acknowledging that the nervous system stores patterns of tension resulting from stress, injury, or unresolved emotional experiences. These patterns can keep the body in a state of constant defense, impacting mobility, energy, and emotional resilience.
During an NS session, the practitioner uses gentle, precise contacts—typically at the neck and lower spine—to signal the nervous system to reorganize itself. These light touches do not forcibly adjust the vertebrae; instead, they encourage the body to release tension in a natural way. Over time, this process supports the development of new strategies for managing stress, enhances posture, and increases adaptability.
How NS Differs from Traditional Chiropractic Adjustments
• Technique and Force Used: Traditional chiropractic adjustments commonly involve high-velocity, low-amplitude thrusts designed to quickly restore joint mobility. In contrast, NS utilizes very light, sustained contacts that prompt the body to self-correct. The adjustment is the result of the body’s own response, rather than external force.
• Focus of Care: Conventional chiropractic care primarily targets musculoskeletal issues by physically moving the vertebrae. NS takes a deeper approach, focusing on nervous system function and the body’s response to tension and stress. The objective is to help the body develop healthier movement patterns and greater awareness, not just improve alignment and mobility.
• Engagement of the Patient: NS encourages patients to play an active role in their healing process. Gentle touches may lead to spontaneous movements or shifts in breathing, helping the body to release old patterns of tension. In contrast, traditional adjustments are more practitioner-directed, with less conscious involvement from the patient during the procedure.
• Long-Term Benefits: While traditional chiropractic care is often sought for immediate pain relief, NS is especially valued for its enduring effects on stress resilience, emotional clarity, and overall quality of life. By working directly with the nervous system, NS aims to foster lasting improvements in both physical and emotional well-being.
Dr. Rhonda will be in our offices Monday, Tuesday and Thursday Mornings.
