We have been patiently waiting for the weather to cool down, but we’re still feeling grateful for this community and the moments we share. There are exciting things to look forward to, and we are extremely grateful that we get to experience all these fun activities and outings together.

Keeping the fun energy going here at MSCS as we get ready for Spirit Week, happening next week from July 28 to August 1!
Here’s what’s coming up:

Monday, July 28 – Pajama Day

Tuesday, July 29 – Opposite Day
Staff deadline members, members dress like staff

Wednesday, July 30 – Wacky Wednesday

Thursday, July 31 – Mystery Character Day
Dress as a character from a book, movie, show, game, or history but kept it secret and let others guess!

Friday, August 1 – Villains vs. Heroes Day
Pick a side and come as your favorite hero or villain from any universe.
We can’t wait to see everyone participate and get creative with their outfits.

Next week, we’re also heading out on some exciting trips to the Humane Society Thrift Store and the Gem and Mineral Museum.
We plan on making it a great week at MSCS!

We've had an incredible few weeks and hope everyone enjoys the long weekend ahead! Just a reminder that MSCS will be closed on July 4th and 5th in observance of the holiday.

Heads up, our Summer Party has been rescheduled to July 11th to accommodate members that are out of town for the holidays. Feel free to bring drinks or snacks to share, this is completely optional and not mandatory.

What a fun-filled week! We always enjoy our trips to Bookmans, cooling off during our pool days, and playing arcade games at Round1. This Tuesday, our members also had the chance to see the new live-action How to Train Your Dragon, and everyone had a great time!

Next week is looking just as exciting , we’ll be heading up to Mt. Lemmon for a hiking day and visiting the Tucson Museum of Art. Wishing everyone a great weekend(:

We've been feeling the heat here in Tucson, but that hasn't stopped us from soaking up all the fun that spring and summer bring to the desert! Our pool days have been a hit. We've also been exploring some beautiful local spots. We recently visited Harlow Gardens and had a great time checking out all the vibrant plants and flowers.

Today, we took a trip to the Tucson Botanical Gardens, where our members enjoyed a fun scavenger hunt through the gardens and even got to see an incredible Atlas moth in the butterfly house, one of the largest insects on Earth! It’s been a busy and exciting month, and we’re loving every moment.

Heads up: we’ll be closed Monday, May 26th in observance of Memorial Day.

May has been off to an amazing start! Our first fishing trip of the month to Rose Canyon Lake was a big hit—our group caught three fish and had a blast enjoying the outdoors together. Members are already looking forward to our biweekly fishing adventures!

Last Friday, we had a highly requested outing to Tucson Mall. Both members and staff had a great time, and we’re excited to bring it back to the calendar next month!

Tomorrow marks our first swim day of the season, and we couldn’t be more excited to cool off together at the pool. Just a reminder: if members plan to swim, please make sure they bring sunscreen, a water bottle, hat, towel, and a change of clothes so we can all stay safe and have fun in the sun.

There’s still so much more fun ahead this month, and we can’t wait to share every moment with you. Thank you for your continued support

We've been soaking up the beautiful Tucson weather and making the most of the sunshine! One of our favorite spots lately has been the rose garden at Reid Park—it's bursting with color and the blooms smell amazing.

We also had a blast at the Pima County Fair! The seal show was a crowd favorite, and everyone had a great time riding the rides in such a fun and inclusive environment.

Our May newsletter just went out—be sure to check it out for all the exciting things coming up this month! We’re looking forward to swimming days, fishing trips, more tie-dye fun, and even a Tucson Mall adventure!

What an exciting week we've had! 🎉 We kicked things off with a fun tie-dye shirt activity where everyone had a blast creating their own colorful masterpieces. It was such a joy seeing the smiles on everyone's faces during the process.

We also had the chance to visit the Southern Arizona Transportation Museum, and our members had an amazing time exploring the exhibits and participating in some hands-on, interactive activities.

Looking ahead, we’re gearing up for National Library Week! This is a great time to bring in a book to share or discuss with others. On Wednesday, we will have a scavenger hunt at the library—such a fun way to get involved! And on Friday, if interested, members can bring a book to swap with other members (this is optional, of course!).

We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and we are excited to kick off another fun-filled week!

We have had such a blast the last few weeks! The weather has been amazing and we’ve enjoyed tie dying shirts together, checking out Reid Park Zoo, and to finally see some water at Sabino Canyon.

Our members loved seeing the baby giraffe and baby elephants at the zoo! We spent a lot of our time just watching the elephant calf cozy up to its mother, all the members were mesmerized by this sweet interaction. To welcome spring, some of our members tie dyed shirts and we are so eager to see how they turn out. Our hike at Sabino Canyon was amazing. It felt great hearing the water flowing, birds chirping, and enjoy lunch as a group outside. The members always love when roadrunners come and visit us at Sabino Canyon and it is always a wonderful time!

February has been a month of new experiences, lots of laughter and smiles, and fun social group activities! Our members checked out the Gem and Mineral show and this was a first for many of our members and they had a blast. We checked out some new movies this month such as Dogman, Paddington in Peru, and Captain America: Brave New World. The members are always excited to catch some new released movies. We love serving this community and we are grateful for the support!
