This week’s top story: Voters in the Amphitheater Public Schools district are being asked to approve two propositions, one to issue bonds for capital investment, another to continue a supplementary property tax levy for enhanced classroom opportunities on the Nov. 5 ballot.

In other news: While it’s busy, Desert Life Pharmacy and other retail pharmacies are threatened by an evolving, evermore stingy, for-profit reimbursement structure that doesn’t cover the cost of pharmaceuticals, let alone the overhead a business incurs, said Brianne Spaeth, PharmD., owner and pharmacist.
