When your plan for the day is crafting a meditation on the Wheel of Fortune and the universe decides to remind you that this card is all about expecting the unexpected.

Or, as Charlie Claire Burgess puts it, s**t happens.

Spent nearly 4 hours with my keys locked inside ’s house. Did not learn how to pick a lot (gave it my very best effort). Couldn’t break into any windows. Was rescued by family in the end 😪

The Wheel of Fortune reminds us that there are forces in this world which we can’t control, but we can control how we react to them.

Despite this absolutely derailing my day, once I surrendered to the fact that I was stuck for a while I was able to practice a little meditation. Finding center while the wheel turned wildly around me, like Lindsey Mack recommends.

It wasn’t until I was about to go to bed last night that I realized The Wheel had given me a masterclass on it’s themes, just not in the way I was expecting 🎡

Years worth of Year Ahead Readings

Still my favorite after all of these years! Year ahead readings have been a cornerstone of my divination practice for 8 or 9 years now?

Every year my method evolves but every year I get the same clients telling me how helpful and spot on it was for them all year long.

I’m not sure if I’ll be offering one on one year ahead readings thing year!

This year my main Year Ahead offering is PORTAL 2026 - a collaboration with my dear friend and reiki teacher

My workshop during PORTAL will be part seminar on 2026 as a Wheel of Fortune/Magician year and part me guiding you through the ritual I’ve developed to cast and read my year ahead tarot spreads.

Doing this as a group allows us to witness the way each of our archetypal journeys relates, contrasts, or maybe even weaves together.

We’ll close out the day with an energetically decadent soundbath with Rose. I’m really excited to welcome the new year in a group ritual retreat like this.
