Congratulations Jill!! 🎉
There are three things that make Jill Melvin an Outstanding Wester Region Chapter Member. First, she is the voice of reason in all situations. Jill has a remarkable way of listening to all sides of a situation and finding a solution that works for everyone. Second, she is the most observant person in the room. Jill sees beyond what is said or heard, and she literally sees the other person’s perspective. This level of observation and self-awareness helps her to meet her peers where they are and truly understand their perspective, mediate a more thoughtful discussion, and move the discussion forward in a positive way with recommendations for next steps. Third, she is not only a doer, but she is a thoughtful doer. She takes great care to consider all possibilities; she makes thoughtful recommendations, and she does what she says she will do (and more).
This past year, Jill was asked to not only join the Western Region Chapter Board of Directors but also be the Co-Chair of the Chapter Conference. Some big asks all at once, right? However, Jill kind of brought this on herself because of her amazing traits. She was noticed! When she first hesitated, she was reminded of her amazing skills and the fact that she had a support team behind her. In the usual Jill Melvin fashion, she gracefully accepted these “challenges”, but more importantly she is championing these tasks with kindness, grace, and absolute success. So do not let the quiet and thoughtful Jill Melvin fool you, she is a major powerhouse who gets the job done! Congratulations, Jill!
