🌟 Introducing the Hearts & Heroes Initiative 🌟

At TUSD, we believe that true safety goes beyond protection — it’s about compassion. 💙

That’s why our School Safety Officers are launching the Hearts & Heroes Initiative. 🧸✨ This program provides students with comfort in difficult moments by offering a stuffed animal as a reminder that they are seen, supported, and cared for.

Through the Hearts & Heroes Initiative, our officers — the heroes on campus every day — are extending not just safety, but also kindness and heart.

Because sometimes, the smallest gesture can make the biggest difference. 💙

🇺🇸 9/11 — We Will Never Forget 🇺🇸

Today we pause to remember all those who lost their lives, and we honor the first responders, service members, and countless others who answered our nation’s call with courage and sacrifice. Their bravery and resilience continue to inspire and unite us.

At TUSD School Safety, we remain committed to protecting our community with that same spirit of service, unity, and vigilance.

🕯️ Forever remembered. Forever honored. 🕯️

Happy Labor Day from TUSD School Safety!
We wish all of our students, staff, and families a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved day.

Labor Day is a time to recognize the hard work and dedication of workers across the nation — including the amazing educators, staff, and support teams who make a difference every day in our schools.

📅 A reminder that all TUSD schools and offices will be closed on Monday, September 1st in observance of the holiday.
🚨 Our School Safety team remains on-call and ready to respond to any emergencies throughout the day.
🛑 Please celebrate safely, drive carefully, and take care of one another.

Happy Labor Day!

🚗💨 Thanks, Pima County Sheriff's Department, for the reminder! School is in session — slow down and stay alert in school zones. 🛑👀

This is a reminder from the Pima County Sheriff's Department to slow down in school zones. Stay alert, avoid distractions, and watch for students crossing the street.
Safety comes first, especially during pick-up and drop-off times.
Let’s work together to keep our students safe this school year!

School is back in session, and safety on our roads is more important than ever. Please slow down in school zones, watch for crossing guards and students, and remember—no cell phone use while driving, anywhere, anytime.

💛 Slow down today, protect a future tomorrow.
👀 Eyes up, phones down—every student deserves to get home safe.
🚦 School zones aren’t suggestions, they’re safeguards.
🚸 Safe driving is everyone’s responsibility—our kids are counting on it.

Thank you, Tucson Police Department, for the reminder! 🙌

Tips from the traffic pros: Avoid a ticket in a school zone!

• Hit the brakes, not the gas! School zones are 15 mph, slow down and stay cool.

• Eyes up, Phone down! Watch for crossing guards and kiddos crossing the road.

• Red lights = FULL STOP
If a school bus is flashing red or the crosswalk light turns red, that’s your cue to stop and wait.

Remember, it’s about keeping our kids safe, not just avoiding a ticket.
