Just finished up my last massage of the year…26.25 hrs between the 26th and today, 105 hrs this month. I am forever thankful to you all for your continued support, but especially this year. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is a gift that I’m still excited to come to work every day and that I get to work with some amazing individuals. Wishing you all peace as we usher into a new year. Thank you for accepting my nerdy weirdness 😍

Hi all! Whooo, we made it to summer. I haven’t been active much on here lately and am in the process of attempting to streamline scheduling and such. I want to sincerely thank everyone that has continued to support my small business, especially these last two years that have been hectic. It’s been a roller coaster and your patience with me is not lost on me. I am attempting to launch online booking. I am also spending this summer focusing on a fixed schedule with LESS availability. Please book ahead. I have focused of being as accommodating as possible but the time has come to admit that I am only one person and I need to maintain balance. My passion for providing therapeutic, often intense treatments in the safest and most relaxing way possible continues to grow significantly. My focus is still primarily medical massage but please feel free to text me if you’re unsure if your focus qualifies as such. I have decided to open up my schedule to new clients again but just am wanting to communicate with everyone before scheduling.

Lastly, I have decided to try to add some whimsy to my slightly more flexible summer schedule. I will be offering a summer raffle to receive a treatment at a greatly discounted rate. Please text me if you’d like to participate. The winners of these treatments do not need to fall into the medical massage category and do not need to be current clients.

Hi all! It’s been a minute and I hope you all are doing well. I want to start off by saying thank you for your continued support! The last 6 months, I haven’t been up on messaging as much as I have been so I’m thankful for the patience. That being said, life is settling down and I’m making time to message everyone in my schedule to confirm that our upcoming appointments are correct. If you message me and I don’t respond within 48 hours, please message me again. Once I get everyone settled, I will be handing over my scheduling to an assistant to streamline the process. Hi all! August marks my 25th anniversary in this field! It also marks 2 years since I got the keys to my office. I’ve been working hard the last few months trying to find a work/life balance and vision for where I want to take my business the next 25 years. I’ll be sharing more as it comes together but I’d like to make a few announcements for anyone I haven’t already told in person.

I am changing my cancellation policy. I stopped enforcing it during the pandemic and have slowly reintegrated it but it hasn’t been consistent. My new policy is that I need 48 hrs for cancellations. Cancellations occurring 25-48 hrs before said appointment is subject to a $50 fee. Cancellations happening 24 hrs or less before an appointment will be charged in full. I will automatically send a link to pay if payment isn’t sent with notice of cancellation. I spend way too many hours of my week playing tetris with my schedule when I don’t get enough notice from clients and appreciate your respect of my time.

Secondly, I am raising my rates for new clients as well as anyone I haven’t seen in this calendar year Aug 1. I only take new clients if they are referred by current clients and fit into medical massage parameters. My focus is on medical massage and my rates don’t reflect my experience and knowledge that I bring to my treatments. Most places up charge for specialty treatments (deep tissue, hot stones, cbd, energy work, chi nei tsang, kt taping, etc). I charge for my time only because I don’t want lack of payment to alter what would be most beneficial during treatments. Rates for my current clientele will not go up this year. If you reach out to me before August 1st, it will keep you at my current rates.

My rate for new clients is $25 per 15 minutes, with a 30 minute minimum.

I am still trying to figure out what I want my schedule to be. I usually slow down a little in the summer but surprisingly, I am having the busiest summer in my career. I can say that I will adhere to a max of 25 hrs a wk/100 hrs of massage a month. I may also change my work days and have already cut out evenings. I am so grateful for the support of you all as I figure out how to grow and change along with my business!

Hi all! It’s been a while. Firstly, I want to express my complete gratitude for your generosity! It will probably take me most of this year to recover the loss of income but I know I know I would not have made it without your help. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

With that, I want to announce that during the downtime and recovery, I have decided to finally commit to turning Healing Ways into my original vision, 26 years ago. I have always wanted to be more of a well rounded therapist and somewhere along the way, my massages became so popular that I ran out of space and time to do anything else. I do use my medical massage certification and knowledge to give a well rounded treatment but I am ready to do more and shift Healing Ways to be a more physically sustainable business so that I can continue to do this for another 20 years. I am focusing this year to learn more modalities and take refreshers on techniques I’ve fallen out of practice doing. I want to eventually become a practitioner that focuses more on the whole body and mind and gut connection. This means I will have less time for clients that want traditional massage, but also, it’s going to be at least a year before I can fully transition. The first classes I’m planning on taking are vagus work, cupping, and hopefully shiatsu or Eastern medicine philosophy. I am also looking forward to finally learning cranio-sacral therapy as well.

My goal is the make sessions that vary a little more from appointment to appointment while having the foundation of knowledge to benefit the sensitivities and holding patterns I have learned from over 25,000 hours of bodywork at my fingertips. I have always felt like I’m destined to do more whole body folk healing and I believe this is my time to commit to it.

I am so excited and look forward to growing with you and happy to pass along referrals for those that don’t want to shift with me.

Hi all! Happy New Year. I haven’t been able to update everyone but I had emergency surgery on Dec 8th and have been out of work since. I finally got clearance to work part time but it will be until February before I’m able to work my full schedule. This means I have to completely re-work by completely full schedule and space clients our further to accommodate my recovery. Anything helps but please feel no obligation. Hi all! Today is my first real day off since my quick getaway early last month so I thought I should touch base. It’s been a hectic few months, and well year actually. Thank you all for your continued support! I don’t have the availability to give anyone else a standing appointment so I’m implementing a cancel list waiting list where I blanket text whomever is on the list when I have a cancellation and first to respond gets the appointment. I’m working on some protocol changes as well and re-implementing the late cancellation/no show fees. I am but one person and like having a full schedule but also need to keep balance because I’m a whole person that has nothing to do with being a massage therapist. I am not taking new at this time, but if someone wants to refer a medical massage/short term recovery client to me, I am taking those on on a case by case basis.

And just to update my fees of which some changed in October…

45 min $65
60 min $80
75 min $100
90 min $120
120 min $150

No show fees/late cancel. It takes me anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours to move clients around and shift for no shows/late cancel:
24 hrs notice (48 hrs notice for Fri-Mon) -$50
Same Day/less than 24 hr notice - full price of treatment.

Just walked my last client of the year out. So humbled, so thankful, so at peace…thank you my dear clients, from the entirety of my soul because I love what I do, where I do it, and all of you and your trust in me to share my magic with ya’ll. You make my world go round. 23 years and I feel like I’m just getting started. Lets see what healing we can bring in 2023! Cheers.

Finishing up my work week and just wanted to remember the decorations I set up for my first Christmas in the new office. Survived my 10th(or 11th) year of working across from winterhaven. Monday is the last day and I can finally return to my traditional work schedule. I received so many cards, treats, gifts, and Christmas tips this year and I want to thank all of you so much. I am forever grateful to do something I truly love for a living and I absolutely adore my clients. Some of you have been with me since the beginning…1999 and you’ve become family! Happy Festivus and thank you, truly thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Hi guys. I thank all of you that are sticking by me with the constant shifts and changes to the schedule what seems like everyday. My schedule is very tight and I’m generally booked out a few weeks at least, so if you are referring clients to me, please let them know. That being said, because of the constant shifts I can usually get people in if they’ve been on my waiting list. Also, and I cannot stress the importance of this enough…I have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to covid. If you suspect you have it, if you know you’ve been around it, if you know have it or had it within the previous week and show up to an appointment without mentioning this info to me ahead of time, I will terminate our professional relationship on the spot. I would be forced to close my practice for a minimum of 5 days if that were to occur and it would greatly affect my family and other clients. I do everything I can to keep my clients and business safe so please respect that. I know we want to get back to “normality” but I have a responsibility to all of my clients that I take extremely seriously. I hope you are well. I thank you for continued support and patronage. I hope you are staying safe out there. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. I’m doing the best that I can.
