Our team is committed to delivering safe, compassionate, and comprehensive care to every patient and their family. We prioritize building trust and fostering positive relationships within the community by working collaboratively and providing evidence-based care. Unlike conventional flight programs, we offer both ambulance and air transport options to ensure each unique transport need is met with the highest level of care. With over 50 years of service to Arizona, we remain dedicated to continuously improving Maternal and Neonatal outcomes in the communities we serve.

When people think about the OB Team at PHI Air Evac, one name that always stands out is Leann.
As part of the original OB team that launched OB transport at Air Evac 40 years ago, Leann has helped shape the field into what it is today. Her dedication to evidence-based practice and commitment to exceptional patient care continue to inspire everyone around her.
It’s incredible to reflect on the milestones she’s witnessed, the thousands of patients she’s impacted, and the knowledge she’s shared with so many clinicians over the years.
We are beyond grateful for her passion, expertise, and unwavering commitment.

✨ We have some exciting news to share! ✨

Over the past several months, our team has been helping develop a new microcredential exam focused specifically on maternal–fetal transport. This first-of-its-kind exam in specialty transport is designed to enhance provider knowledge and ultimately improve maternal and fetal patient outcomes.

We were honored to collaborate with fellow flight and ground transport teams, hospitals, and children’s hospitals throughout this process. Together, we worked toward one shared goal: advancing maternal–fetal outcomes through specialized, population-specific education.

From building the exam framework and developing content to analyzing question performance and refining each detail, this initiative took months of meetings, discussion, and dedication. Today, we’re thrilled to share that the exam is officially live and one of our very own paramedics has studied and passed the exam!

It’s an exciting day for the field of OB transport — and we can’t wait to see the impact this will have on the patients and families we serve. 💜

At Air Evac 1, every transport we complete is more than a mission—it is an opportunity to build and strengthen meaningful connections with our patients, their loved ones, and the communities we serve. Being called to provide calm, compassionate care on someone’s hardest day is a responsibility we never take lightly. It is an honor to be trusted with such moments, and we remain dedicated to delivering exceptional care driven by passion, not just a profession.

To help share a little light and joy this holiday season, PCH Arrowhead graciously allowed us to place this tree in their lobby to brighten the space and spread cheer. This tradition is one we hold close to our hearts and look forward to each year. Thank you, PCH Arrowhead, for welcoming us into your holiday spirit and allowing us to be part of such an uplifting tradition.
