Your liver is doing much more than most people realize. And nobody is talking about it.
1. Your liver metabolizes estrogen. When it’s sluggish, excess estrogen recirculates and stores in fat tissue. Stubborn belly fat that won’t budge? Could be a liver issue, not a calorie issue.
2. Your liver regulates blood sugar. A stressed liver cannot properly store and release glycogen causing more crashes, and more harmful cravings.
3. Alcohol hits harder than you think. Your liver prioritizes alcohol over everything else. Fat burning stops until it’s processed. Even 2 glasses of wine.
4. Stop consuming processed seed oils that stress your liver out. Did you know that canola, soybean, vegetable oil are processed seed oils and are in almost every restaurant meal and packaged food so don’t make your liver work overtime to handle these terribly harmful seed oils.
5. Your liver produces bile to break down fat. Poor bile production means bloating after meals and poor absorption of vitamins A, D, E, and K. 6. Tylenol and ibuprofen are harder on your liver than most realize. Occasional use is fine but daily use adds up.
7. Cruciferous vegetables support liver detox. Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage. One of the simplest things you can do.
8. Your liver needs protein to function. Amino acids are used in both phases of detoxification. Another reason 100g+ daily matters.
9. Poor sleep impacts liver repair. Most of its work happens between 1am and 3am. Bad sleep means it never fully recovers.
10. Water affects everything your liver does. Dehydration thickens bile, slows detox, makes every process less efficient. Half your bodyweight in ounces minimum.

Breakfast today is my version of a simple, savory, sweet taco salad crafted with sliced organic sweet potatoes fried in avocado oil. My homemade Chorizo, kept handy in my freezer, is crafted with lean, organic, grass fed/grass finished ground beef mixed with Santa Cruz red chili powder, fresh garlic, ginger, turmeric, black pepper cumin, monk fruit and apple cider vinegar cooked to perfection. I plated a layer of organic beet greens, then a layer of the fried sweet potatoes, a layer of the chorizo and topped it with fresh organic, savory guacamole.
Always before I indulge in breakfast, I drink a medical grade, patented soluble/insoluble fiber that is a delicious nutritional tool which has made my life better for 3+ years! This fiber is like no other and is truly a metabolic health game changer! Ask me how Feel Great protocol has changed my life because I have more freedom, better health and I save money. Oh and breakfast was out of this world!

Most people don’t struggle with healthy eating because they lack discipline.

They struggle because their taste buds were programmed early on to crave ultra‑processed junk food.

That conditioning runs deep, and sheer willpower can’t change it.

Thankfully, your food preferences AREN’T set in stone!

It’s entirely possible to retrain your brain to crave foods that support your health instead of harming it.

The first step is getting the facts.

When you learn what specific foods do at a biological level…

And when you understand what the latest science says about how diet impacts the quality and length of our lives…

Making better choices stops feeling like a constant battle.

And that’s how the cycle of unhealthy cravings gets broken for good.

Let me know if you are interested in simple tools you can use to help you make better choices, re-program those cravings and put an end to the struggle. - Jackie Lee Health and Wellness Advocate

They Treated Blood Sugar This Way 50 Years Ago… Then We Stopped Listening. A physician treated over 10,000 patients by controlling carbohydrates… not calories.

There’s a version of history most people never hear.

Not because it didn’t happen…
but because it didn’t fit the narrative that came later.

In 1967, a physician named Wolfgang Lutz published a book based on decades of clinical work.

It wasn’t a theory.

It was observation.

Over 10,000 patients.

And what he noticed was simple… but disruptive.

When carbohydrates were reduced…
conditions tied to unstable blood sugar began to improve.

Not just weight.

Digestion.
Inflammation.
Energy.
Even long-standing chronic issues.

He wasn’t counting calories.

He was watching blood sugar.

The book was later translated and expanded as Life Without Bread.

And the message was clear:

The human body doesn’t struggle because it lacks discipline.
It struggles when the fuel system is overwhelmed.

Because when blood sugar rises too often…
the body is forced into a constant state of correction.

And that correction has a cost.

What’s fascinating isn’t just what he found.

It’s how quietly it was set aside.

Today, we act like blood sugar is a new conversation.

It isn’t.

It’s an old one.

One that was understood…
practiced…
and then, somewhere along the way, forgotten.
