Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood according to the American Red Cross. Blood donations are crucial, offering help to patients managing a chronic illness or even battling cancer—it saves lives. TMC Health employee, Taylor Twilling, shares her "why" for donating blood.

"I donate regularly because, to me, it's a simple gesture with a humongous impact. It takes, at most, 30 minutes out of my day to pop into the donation van and donate a bag of blood that will save someone else's life. There are a lot of things that can be bioengineered and manufactured now, but blood is not one of those things. So, I will continue to donate for as long as my body allows me to."

Art is a powerful force, offering feelings of comfort, joy and curiosity. TMC Health’s Healing Arts Program is donor funded with a commitment to heal hearts and promote health. For more than a decade, the program has curated an environment of healing with art installations that can be found across four hospitals, six cancer centers and 21 clinics for patients, families and visitors to connect with.

Fifteen years ago, our community was shaken to its core by the horrible shooting of Jan. 8, 2011. From that tragedy, our community came together to support each other through movement and wellness. For 15 years, TMC Health has supported Beyond-Tucson, a non-profit agency that creates activities aiming to strengthen health and well-being across the Southern Arizona community.

Beginning Jan. 10, Beyond kicks off two weekends for their 15th annual event. Be sure to get out and go beyond!

TMC Health welcomed its first babies of the New Year!

TMC’s first little one, Axel, weighed in at 6 Ibs and 11 oz, born at 4:32 a.m. on January 1st. Over at TMC Rincon, Tomas weighed in at 7 Ibs and 9 oz, born at 7:56 a.m. What a beautiful start to 2026! Thank you to the incredible teams of nurses, techs, physicians and providers who spent their New Year holiday ensuring patients receive exceptional healthcare with compassion.
