“I grew up abused by my mother and searched for love in the wrong places, dating young and chasing bad company. Coming to the Home of Hope changed me. By God’s grace, He taught me my worth, restored my relationship with my mom, and gave me a foundation in Him.”

✨ Testimony Tuesday ✨

As we continue to celebrate 60 years of sharing God’s love in 2025, we are grateful to share another powerful story from Aaron, a recent Teen Challenge of Arizona graduate.

“Thirteen months ago, I was like a wheelbarrow with a flat tire—stuck and going nowhere. Alcohol controlled my life, landing me in prison twice and stealing relationships, including with my mom. But God broke the chains! Today, I’m free, restored, and grateful to say—I love you, Mom. Thank You, Jesus!”

📖 Romans 5:3-5 — “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

📖 Isaiah 41:10 ‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'

The times we feel anxious and uncertain, especially in stressful situations, can seem like it won’t ever end. I want to reassure you that there is a light in plain view. His name is Jesus Christ. Right when we think we have come to a halt and there is nothing else to be done, a door opens. In John 16:33 we find his inspiring words, “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” We understand that we will most assuredly find ourselves in tribulations (trials), yet we also find that God is all-knowing. He is our refuge and strength, our very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. In Isaiah 41:10 we are instructed and encouraged, “Do not anxiously look about you, for I AM your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with MY righteous right hand.” The right hand of righteousness symbolizes God's inherent power, His steadfast faithfulness to His people. What a friend we have in Jesus. Our trusted source of strength and comfort. As we go about our daily tasks this week, may we remember He's got us covered!

🙏 Prayer - Thank you, Jesus, for your strength and power. Thank you, that in you we are fully known. Nothing in our lives has gone unnoticed. When we are feeling weak, may we center our sights on you and not the surrounding storm. We praise you, Father in Jesus name, amen.
