Greetings & updates for the year ahead

Hello everyone,

Happy 2024! I hope this dispatch finds you all doing well and that your holidays were lovely. You certainly can't accuse me of filling your email box in 2023 since this is the first thing I have sent out in over a year!

The past year was a significant exercise in transition and healing for many of us. Who knows what 2024 will offer! I’d love to be a part of it with you in some way, shape or form as we navigate these changing times!

I just wanted to reach out and let you know the latest updates here at Tucson CranioSacral Therapy. I've been happily ensconced at Caritas Center for Healing at 330 E 16th St for almost a year and a half now and I am really loving the space.

Thank's to all of you that have made the transition with me and have shown continued support through several challenges these last few years. There are a few changes in the new year that I wanted to let you know about:

First thing being I am now available Tuesday afternoons 3-6:30pm.

Second, my rates are changing.
Going forward they will be as follows:
30 min infant/childrens- $60
45 min tune up- $85
60 min- $120
75 min- $145
90 min- $165

And last but not least I have recently completed both modules of:
CranioSacral Therapy Touching the Brain: Stimulating Self-Correction Through the Glial Interface. This is fascinating stuff with significant possibilities interfacing with the recently uncovered glial and lymphatic system in the brain, AKA the “glymphatic" system! The scope of this modality is just finding its legs and has the capacity to assist in a variety of different challenges that can negatively impact brain function including: Concussion's/TBI’s, radiation treatment’s, surgeries, detrimental medication interactions and a variety of systemic issues, as well as addressing the enteric nervous system or the gut brain connection.

I have deeply appreciated the support and encouragement that has been offered from this beautiful community! I can't begin to tell you how fortunate I feel to have found CranioSacral Therapy and I am still eager to bring this elegant modality to as many people as possible.

I remember reading about the Wind Phone in Fukushima. Perhaps we could put one up somewhere around Tucson?

Wind phones provide dedicated spaces to address grief in a tangible way in a culture that’s increasingly focused on “moving on” from loss.

It’s that time of year again!

Hi Friends! Happy New Year to all of you!
A while ago I figured out the New Years resolutions can be a set up for future disappointment!
I was just reading about a slightly different approach to making healthy life choices that involves treating each Monday as an opportunity to reset and set goals for overall health and well being over the course of the following week. I have to say that appealed to me and has the potential to help us maintain a more fulfilling and dynamic engagement with whatever goals we choose to set for ourselves by reviewing and renewing our goals each week!
I intend to put this to the test myself to see what can come out of it! Perhaps I'll update you all come the springtime!

To that end, if it's been a while since you've received a CranioSacral Treatment, consider scheduling something soon!

I've settled in quite nicely to the new office space at Caritas. It is a very quiet and supportive environment to slide in to the deep, centering rhythms that receiving a CranioSacral session can provide.
Currently my schedule is Monday 10 to 6, Wednesday 11:30 to 6 and Friday noon to 6:30...occasionally on Tuesday afternoon at 4. There will be changes in that over the coming months as my office mate's schedule changes I will update you as that happens.

Aquatic CranioSacral sessions are available at Santa Rita Springs Wednesday through Saturday on the corner of Santa Rita Ave and Edison St. Since these sessions need to be co-ordinated with the pool schedule they need to be set up over the phone.

Evolutionary Astrology is also available and it's my intention to be stepping into this service more regularly over the coming year. These can be done remotely or face to face. These also will need to be co-ordinated over the phone.

It goes without saying that 2022 was a very challenging year...for many of us! While I entertain no illusions that 2023 will be some kind of magical reset, I'm cautiously looking forward to the coming weeks, months and year with a shift toward greater ease!
As my friend Dave Fitzsimmons said to me the other day, "We are going to have a much better 2023 with our Hearts and Spirits forged in the unforgiving fires of 2022!"
I for one am choosing to believe that!

I'm so deeply grateful for the love and support that this community has bestowed upon me, not only this past year but all the previous years as well.

Hi There everybody!

This is a quick update to let you all know what's up at
Tucson CranioSacral World Headquarters!!

I hope you all have been enjoying the sudden change of weather these past few weeks. The sunrises and sunsets have been particularly beautiful!

I've been working out of Caritas now since the beginning of September. I'm happy to say that it's going well and I'm really enjoying the space.
I wanted to let you know about a couple of temporary schedule changes over the Thanksgiving holiday week and few other bits of news.
As you may remember my current schedule has been M,W&F late morning/early afternoons.
There's the occasional option for Tuesday mid-late afternoons as well though that needs to be arranged by phone.

I've returned to the Aquatic CranioSacral sessions recently after a few month hiatus which I'm very happy about! These appointments also need to be scheduled over the phone as it requires
coo-ordinating the calendar with the pool availability at Santa Rita Springs.

Thanksgiving week my schedule will be a little different. I'll be available all day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and will be enjoying a full on 4 day weekend from Thursday through Sunday! Again, if you'd like to schedule that Tuesday the 22nd please call me.

Evolutionary Astrology Consultations are available as well for those of you that have an interest. These also require the use of the phone to arrange the time and day!

For those of you that know about my challenges of the past 6 months I'm very happy to say that my health and stamina have improved and have surpassed the
pre-cardiac mischief of May and I'm feeling really terrific! The cardiac rehab was a wonderful opportunity to reboot. Through it all I made a great friend and we're continuing the connection with regular hikes plus the occasional schlep up Tumamoc!
(Oof!)

One more thing. I've been having some issues with my web host, SquareSpace regarding certain edits. Their customer service not been very "on it!"
Just so you know, until they're able to help me make these edits, here's the deal...the calendar says I'm only available until 3:30 on Wednesday. I'm available until 6:00. Also, when you get an appointment confirmation and subsequent reminder there are 2 addresses. On for the previous location on 17th St in the header and another for the current location in the body of the message.
For the record my current office address is 330 E 16th St between S 4th and 3rd Avenues. Hopefully they'll be able to step up and assist me in making these adjustments!

Beginning September '22 I will be working out of Caritas Center for Healing at 330 E 16th Street between South 4th and South 3rd Ave!

Due to the upcoming sale of the building on W 17th St and S 6th Ave, I'll be relocating. I'm excited to be moving into a shared space at Caritas Center, just a couple blocks from my current location!

It's been a pretty wild ride the past two months and we're not through yet!

I was just informed on the 8th of July that the owners of the place at 705 S 6th Ave are selling the property.
I will need to be out of there by the end of August.
Currently I have some lead on spaces in the same general area and will let you all know when something has been secured.
Until then I will be available Monday, Wednesday and Friday to see four people each day.
Monday will be late morning to mid-afternoon and Wednesday and Friday between noon and six
I will adjust the scheduling calendar to reflect the available times.

The cardiac event that I sustained on the 18th of May wasn't strictly a "TakoTsubo/Broken Heart Syndrome" event but was diagnosed as a 100% blockage of the Lateral Anterior Descending Coronary Artery, AKA The Widow Maker!

(I do feel though that they aren't mutually exclusive contributors to what transpired!)
I'm presently in a sort of limbo regarding the next month or two. There's a high likelihood that I will be moving my workspace to my home between St Mary's and Speedway a few blocks south of The Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind.
More on that later.
Thank you again for your kind notes and ongoing support. I cannot begin to articulate how grateful I am for this community!

Hi there everybody. There've been some significant events around here the past few weeks:

Many but not all of you know that Kris, my friend, wife and partner has been dancing with cancer for the past 4 years. I'm very sad to inform you the dance came to an end on the 12th of May. I was with her at the end, cradling her head and telling her how much she is loved.
It's been a long road and up until mid-March her prognosis was looking good. Regretfully, when it changed it changed fast and irrevocably!
I miss her terribly and I know I'm one of many. She has been a much loved and cherished fixture in the Tucson/Chicago Shiatsu community for over 35 years.

The other news is that 6 days after Kris's death, I endured a very significant heart attack that required a stent and a few days in hospital.
(TakoTsubo/Broken heart syndrome ain't no joke!)
I would have loved to start engaging in "self-care" in a less dramatic way but there ya go!
I'm relieved to say that my recovery is going well according to the Cardiologist...and there's a road stretched out before me that is unlike any I've ever been on before my life!

I intend to return to work as soon as I feel I can sustain the sort of energy that is needed to show up for each of you fully.
Currently I'm approaching this on a week to week basis, though if how I feel now is any indicator, I don't expect to return until mid-June and then it will be in a reduced schedule.
That's that. Please don't hesitate to reach out however and whenever you feel moved to. I always enjoy hearing from you.
