Today is Rodeo parade day in Tucson. Sometimes we go out to the parade as one of our challenge events. This year will be a nice warm beautiful day. But for Throwback Thursday we are throwing back to two chilly parade days.

🌟 Triumph Tuesday 🌟

Today we’re celebrating an incredible milestone!

Rachel has officially completed her Home Management class at Saavi Services for the Blind — and she did it in the most delicious way possible… by preparing and serving her all-Saavi final meal! 🍽️👏

From meal planning and grocery organization to safe cooking techniques and confident kitchen skills, Rachel has worked hard to build the independence and confidence that Home Management is all about. Her final meal wasn’t just a celebration of great food — it was a celebration of perseverance, growth, and achievement.

Rachel, we are so proud of your dedication and determination. Your hard work truly paid off, and this is just one of many accomplishments ahead! 💙

Help us congratulate Rachel in the comments! 🎉

Cyclovia is looking for volunteers which is often an event we participate. We were surprised to see our picture on the article but it really shows to be a volunteer is for everyone.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Cyclovia Tucson is set to take place in April, and the Living Streets Alliance is calling for volunteers to help bring the event to life.

🌟Throwback Thursday 🌟
Today we are throwing it back to a few weeks ago when both our Phoenix and Tucson locations participated in the Martin Luther King Junior Day celebrations in each city. We participate because “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” and we are an organization of advocacy and change.
This year we had many students and staff out there marching, hosting saavi tables and making a difference.

It’s time for another braille word of the week. This student knows that this word isn’t a bad word. We hope everyone says this word loud and proud. Pictured: person standing in a hallway facing the camera, wearing a “blind money gang” jersey.

There are so many initials and acronyms out in the world it is important to know what they each mean. Learn about some of the alphabet soup during our abc, ability builds confidence, class with the topic “what’s an IPE?”. Just to give some insight IPE stands for “individualized plan for employment”. We hope to see you there. Our ABC classes occur on Tuesdays between 10:00am and noon, you are always welcome to register https://saavi.us/program-services/introductory-services/
